So this video is kind of weird because by itself it may not make the most sense to you

Because this video is part of a little mini-series about power [A] cords.
[E] Where we talk [N] about power cords, what they are, how to use them and all these kind of things.
So in this video I just want to give you a couple of examples of power cords, of popular
songs that use power cords.
The purpose of this video is not to cram 100 power cord songs into 5 minutes.
This is really just to give you, as I just said, a handful of examples of tunes that
are based off of power cord riffs.
So again I just encourage you to read the article, there is a link here somewhere and
then this video will make much more sense rather than just watching it by itself.
So just a couple of examples of songs that have their base or foundation on power cords.
I am not sure if I am in the right key and I will shorten the licks and riffs a little
bit just for example [E] purposes.
I am sure you will still recognize them.

I actually like it to play it with power cords too but as I mentioned in the article there
is another [Em] way to play it when you use the root and the fourth. _ _ _

_ [Bb] _ [C] _ _ [Bb] _ [G] _ There _ [E] _ is obviously a lot of gain right [G] here, usually I wouldn't play it with that much
gain but this is just for example purposes.

are actually too playing a power cord [N] because you have the root here with your index finger
and the fifth _ in this case with your middle finger instead of your ring finger just because
you have that stretch here where you need the pinky.
But technically you are using a power cord and a power cord in combination with [A] other stuff. _ _ _ _ _

So these were just a few examples [N] of power cords and how they are being used in all kinds
of rock tunes, heavy tunes and so forth.
And of course power cords are not just confined to these genres.
With all that being said I think it is fair to say that what power cords are most known
for is electric guitars, loud electric guitars, a lot of distortion gain and things like that.
So all the good things all of us like.
