Even In The Quietest Moments - lesson - chords
Start Jamming...
I'll play the chords once through to even in the quietest moments, and then show you
the left hand chord shapes and a picking pattern.
[A] Okay?
[G]
[B] [D]
[G]
[A]
[D]
[A] [C] [Am]
[C] [Am]
[Dm] [C]
[D]
[Am]
[C] [Am] [C]
[Am] [Bm] [Dm]
[C] [D]
[D] And it stays on those two chords for quite a while and then returns [G] to the G shape.
[A]
I've switched guitars here to make it [Bm] easier [Ab]
[G] to see the chords and it'll be easier for me too.
[B] Okay, the first [G] [D] one there is on the, it's a D shape, [Bm] however you like to do it, and
move it up [Ab] to the seventh fret.
And I think [D] we've got a G.
[G]
And then we go to [Em] an F shape chord, [D] just with two fingers.
At the fifth fret, an A.
[A]
And on that A we do [E] add the, probably the ninth there, third
or fourth [D] finger at the first string, seventh fret.
[A]
And then a D shape, which is first finger, [C] fifth fret, first string.
Fourth finger, seventh fret, second string.
[C] And third [Gb] finger, seventh fret, third string.
[D]
And G, two finger chord on the third fret.
[G] [D] Okay,
[G] [D]
those four again [B] are the D shape [G] on the seventh fret.
[Bb] And then fifth fret, [Bm] we've got the F shape chord, [A]
adding the third [B] finger.
[A]
And then at the fifth fret, the D shape.
[D]
[G] [D]
[G]
And then I think it might be a G minor, [Bb] G minor six.
It's third [F] fret, barring three strings.
Third, second, and first.
[D]
Okay, the [G] picking pattern on that, I'm strumming through the first chord once.
And then fourth [D] string, and first [Bm] string.
And then four, three, two.
[G] [D]
[A] So this is the usual pattern.
It's fourth string, third string, second, first.
And then four, three, two.
So, four,
[D] three, two, one, four, three, two.
[G]
[D] [Gm]
Okay, the next chords are at the third fret.
Now, second string, third fret.
[Bb] And third and fourth strings, fifth fret.
[G] We can see that [Bb] okay.
Let's see.
[Ab] So it sounds like [C] this.
Same picking pattern.
Fourth string, third, second, first.
Fourth, third, [G] second.
And [C]
I'm dropping the third finger down one fret.
[G] So the fourth string goes down to the fourth fret.
Everything else stays the same.
[C] [D]
[C]
[D] [Gb] And a D minor, [D] [Dm] [B]
[D] [Dm] [E]
and a C shape, [C] a C chord.
[B] And a simple C with a D bass.
[Db] I'm getting a field of vision [D] there.
[D]
Okay, [Ab] let's see one more time there.
Third fret, and third and fourth [G] string on the fifth fret.
[C] [Gb]
[C]
D minor.
[D] [Dm] [E] So D minor once through.
[D] Fourth, third, [Dm] second, first.
[D] Lift off the first string.
And pick third, second, [E] first.
[D] [Dm] [A]
[C]
And then third [G] string, second string I'm adding my little finger on the [D] third fret.
[Gb] And then E string open, [E] first string open.
So the C [C] shape goes like this.
[D] Goes to one more time.
[Dm] [A] [C]
[Bb]
And a [Gb] simple C with an open D bass, the fourth string.
[D] So fourth, [Gm] third, second, first on the picking.
[D] Fourth, third, second.
[G]
[D] D chord.
And [N] that's all of it.
