We're here at Merle Fest [C#] with Foghorn String Band, one of [B] the first and finest [C] users of
the ear trumpet [E] mics.
[Em] We love them.
I am so, so happy to have you guys using them.
Just the [E] effect it had on the overall sound, I think [Em] it warmed things up right away.
It made things easier [B] sound check-wise right [C] away.
I think the second gig we ever played using the ear [Am] trumpet, the speakers were behind
us, [Em] and it was amazing.
The people in the [C] back of the room were hopping on their [Em] toes so you could tell they were hearing it.
[B] Just the fact that that even worked blew our minds.
[G] Then [Am] the feedback from sound people [Em] and audience, [C] the positive [B] feedback, not the sound, the
[C] comments were amazing.
[Em] We noticed it right away, just the [B] ease of it.
It's been [Em] that way 100% since we've used it.
We [Am] haven't even plugged in that old mic we used to use.
We used it for 12 years and we haven't [Cm] even plugged it in since.
[D] That's awesome.
I [Em] think other condenser microphones have a big bad reputation of always feeding back.
I think [C#] it scares a lot of sound guys.
Then we tell them about these [B] Ear Trumpet Lab microphones and how awesome they are.
Just be like, [C] please, just give them a chance.
You'll like them.
It's not uncommon that [B] during our set they will order one for their venue.
It's happened many times.
It's been absolutely [D] true.
When you guys first took it out, I've been able to tell where you're going [Em] on tour from
the orders [F] that come in, [B] literally.
[Em] That's just been [F#m] wonderful.
You guys are like our little [C] Johnny Appleseed.
It's been special.
[Em] For us, it's always been awesome that you made them and we know you.
Again, you're another fellow [Am] Portlander.
That always just [E] meant a lot right [Em] there.
Awesome.
I am so glad to hook up with you [D] guys here.
You're in North Carolina.
I [E] hardly see you in Portland anymore.
You [Em] guys are out so much.
We got to work on that bass.
[C#]
Yeah, I got some plans.
[F] Alright.
[C] [A#] You can call us [G] the Nadine.
Yeah, there you go.
That would be awesome.
Actually, [A] if you do make a bass mic, [F#] I think you will say [E] here and now that it will be
