[F#] Hi everybody and welcome to DADGAD Volume 2.
This will be an exploration of some ideas you can do in DADGAD
after you've explored the basic parameters of the tuning,
which we did in DADGAD Volume 1.
And the strum in it [D] is more syncopated.
It's the pinch, bring your thumb down,
and then the thumb is by itself,
first finger on the second string,
and thumb down to the fourth.
So it sounds like this.
Pinch, bring your thumb down,
back to your thumb,
first finger on the second string,
and thumb on the fourth.
A lot of the old blues players would basically stay on one string
and sort of keep the rhythm going on a single string.
[A] [D] [Am]
You're just hitting that low D,
got this little chord up front,
and you can actually use these three fingers
and pinch them [D] together.
[A#]
In this case, I'm going to use sort of two notes
on the fourth and third strings
and try to put them to as much use as I possibly can.
So it's trying to keep it simple,
but yet sort of compelling at the same time.
So this is Yankee Swamp, kind of a slow version of it.
