[A] I think it was [Ab] [Gbm] 2002 or [G] 2003.
We [Gb] had a meeting about whether or not we wanted to start playing ESP.
They basically [Abm] told me that [G] they're going to have a couple of guitars made for me, [Gb] whatever I want,
which turned out to be this.
It was the same design, basically.
It was the white one with the [F] black stripes and the black and yellow.
[E] They were the first [C] two.
I [Ab]
[C] [F] [Eb] [Gm]
have the [E] yellow one.
The white one didn't make it.
[Ab]
[D] I think I threw it [Bb] across the stage.
It [Gb] wasn't the first time when I'd done that, because these are super durable.
You [F] can do that and basically [C] just grab it and keep on playing.
It's pretty insane.
[F] But the white one basically looked like it just [C] exploded.
It was like [G] splinters and pieces of wood everywhere.
It was a festival run, [Ab] so we always hung it up on [F] the door with the sign that said,
How [Eb] not to play [E] guitar, something like that.
[C] What not to do with a guitar on [E] the stage.
[Ab] [F]
The yellow [E] one is definitely taken a [Fm] couple of beatings to.
It scratches [Ebm] all over the [B] thing, but it looks super cool.
I still play it and [Fm] I still use it in the studio.
It's still actually [E] one of my favorite guitars.
It's weird.
They're all supposed to be [F] the same, but they're really [B] not, though.
They're custom made, so [Bb] somehow that yellow one still
[E] I don't know why, it's just the feel of the neck.
It sounds [Fm] different from the other [Ab] ones.
I've changed the pickups [E] a couple of times and the electronics,
but [Eb] the actual guitar, it's [E] still the same.
[Db] It's still awesome.
[B]
[E] [Db]
[Ab] [Eb] The opening track, [Gb] called [B] This Road,
there's actually a lot of [Eb] 80s [F] metal guitar action going [Ebm] on.
A lot of [Eb] harmonics, and it's fun [Db] to play.
It was actually the last song that [E] I wrote for the album.
I don't know why, but I [Fm] must have been listening [Gb] to Jake Elise [Eb] playing,
because there's that sort of action going on in there.
But it's cool, though.
We hadn't really done that [Dbm] sort of stuff in a while.
So [F] it definitely stood out, and that's why [Ebm] I wanted to use that as an opening [Db] track.
[B] [A] [Bb] Hey guys, go to [Ebm] your local music store,
[Eb] and pick up one of these [Gb] bad boys, and see what ESP is all about.
[B] [Gb] [N]
