[E] [Bm] [Eb] [Ab]
[E] [G] [Em]
[B] [E]
[Abm] [G] [A]
[Em]
[Ab] [Bm] [E]
[G] [A] [Em]
[Bm] [G] Okay, in lick seven, it's happening right before we hit the turnaround, or exactly right
before it goes to [B] the B chord, not the turnaround, but right before the B.
The one, two, [A] three,
four, one, two, three, [E] four.
[B] [E] That section.
So what's happening is right before the B
chord comes in, you got the E chord, you go on one, two, three, four.
[Em] We hit the fifteenth
fret right when the B chord hits.
So one, two, three, bend [F] fifteen.
[Ab] [G] [E] Now, twelve, fifteen,
twelve.
[A] [G] [F] [C]
[E] [A] [G] [Em] Then roll your third finger again on the [A] fourteen.
[G] Fourteen, twelve.
Now bend
[E] fourteen.
Bar, twelfth fret.
And then fourteen, [Gb] bend up, pull down, pull off [F] to twelve.
[G] [A] Fourteen,
fourteen,
[G] twelve.
Fourteen, [E] twelve, fourteen.
Then you hit fourteen.
[Ab] Same thing, hammer
on twelve, thirteen.
[E] Bar, twelve.
Then bend fifteen.
Hit the first finger on the twelfth
fret twice.
[G] Pull off fourteen, twelve.
[E]
Fourteen.
[A] [Em] And then this is when the B chord comes in
on the turnaround [Abm] section.
[Ab] That same Eric Clapton move.
[E] [B] [Em] A lot of finger rolling with
your third finger on the fourteenth fret on this lick.
So slowly, one, two, [Am] three.
[E] [A] [G] [A] [E]
[B] I'll
try to do it even slow, it's hard to keep [A] the rhythm right.
[E] [Am]
[Em] [A] [Em]
[B] Almost.
[E] Let's [A] try it one
more time.
[Em]
[A] [Em]
[Am] [E] [A]
[E] [B] Lots of groups of threes in this lick as well.
[Em]
One, two, [A] three.
One, [G] two, three.
[A] One, two, [G] three.
But [Am] it's mostly groups of threes.
There are parts where it does not
become three notes per beat, the [E] triplet move.
But most of it is just one, two, three.
One,
two, three.
One, two, three.
[A]
[E] [Dm] [E] [Am] [E]
That's one of the tricks to getting this lick down, is just
understanding the threes, especially on the second part when it goes to the A [A] after the
B.
[Em] One, two, three.
[B] Two, [Em] three.
[A]
And then it stops.
[G] [E] So it's a really cool lick.
I'll play
it [B] one more time for you.
[Em]
[E] There [D] might have been a couple of slight rhythm changes in
that, but that's pretty much exactly it.
So that is lick number seven.
[E] [Bm]
