Hi, it's Joe for GAK and I'm here today with the Epiphone Jack Cassidy bass.
_ I've got it here in limited edition Silverburst, it also comes in gold and
also in black with with cream binding, much the same as the Silverburst.
It's a
really interesting and different instrument for Epiphone to put out.
It's
a completely hollow _ _ _ laminated maple body with a mahogany neck and a rosewood
board.
_ It's very very unique, it only exists as the Jack Cassidy bass, it's not
_ adjusted for him, it's made specifically for him and it comes with this really
awesome _ _ _ _ JCB1 _ _ low impedance pickup that Jack Cassidy helped to design which
gives you some really interesting tonal options _ _ for a hollow body bass.
You've
got this this kind of impedance control here marked up with 50, 250 and 500 and
what that gives you is three different _ varitone presets so at 50 we're going to
be hearing kind of like quite a low impedance so you're going to get _ lots of
that kind of hollow woody sound.
_ [A] At 250 it sounds like a P bass which is great
makes it incredibly versatile and at the full sort of 500 if you've got any
sort of gain going through your amp _ you're going to be having like a really
driven gritty sound which yeah like like I've said a few times makes this
an incredibly versatile instrument.
