This is Don with Hagerty's Music Works.
Today we're here to show you three of our most popular
mid-priced single-cut Les Paul style guitars.
We've got an Epiphone 1960 reissue that's
loaded with Burst Bucker pickups.
We've got a PRS single-cut 245, which is a new guitar
for the PRS SE line this year.
It's got a thicker body and shorter scale length.
And
we've got an ESP LTD EC 401 that's loaded with EMG pickups.
Although all of these guitars
are set-neck single-cut designs, they have a very unique sound that's specific to each
of these guitars.
That's what we're going to show you today.
We hope it [N] helps you decide
which of these guitars would be best suited for you and your personal playing style.
To
help us out today, we've got a Mesa Boogie Stiletto Ace 2x12 combo.
It has a real British
sound to it.
First of all, we're going to check out the clean [G] tone using the neck pickup
on our three guitars.

For our next clip, we want to show you one more clean sound.
This
is with the guitar set in the [F] middle pickup selector switch, so both humbuckers are on.
We've got it tuned to drop D.
We'll give you a listen.

to our bridge pickup when we play some chords.
