When I've sung before, I've always sort of [E] belted it out [F] and sort of done the old Ethel Merman thing, but this time [Ab] Brad and Greg Wells said,

It's kind of new for me, but it's going to be fun.

[Db] Get [Abm] You In The Morning is a song that Brad and Greg wrote [Db] and [Abm] they basically coached me through the entire thing because I've never [Db] sung like this before.
[Abm] It's totally out of my realm [Db] of experience.
[B] But what does it what does the song mean [Bb] to me?
[Db] When I first [Abm] when I first sort of visualized the song,
[Eb] I just imagined myself as this [B]
[Eb] secretary at a desk job sort of having this little [Db] secret that she's, [Abm] you know, she's cooking up for her boss or some guy at the water [Db] cooler.
And she can't [Abm] tell anyone.
It's all very, very secret and [Db] naughty.

But I have this friend who has a very, [Bb]
very [Db] strong accent.
And he [B] said to me the other day, [Gb] you know, you know, I like that song you sing.
[Db] You [Abm] want him in the morning.
And I sort of thought, [Bb] well, that that kind of [Db] says what the song's about.

Out of the three songs that I sing on the [Bb] record, I co-wrote one of them.
It's called A Little Something and [Ab] it's my favorite song on the record.
But I think it's [Bb] it's it's different from from [Bbm] the rest of them, although it fits in with with the rest of the songs.
It's just [Eb] slightly different.
Maybe that's that's a good thing.
It's [Bb] I just I went in and into this little [Ab] tiny studio that Greg Wells had set [Eb] up and [Db] basically the size of a postage stamp.
And [Bb] Brad handed me the lyrics and I'd maybe read them once or twice.
And Greg set up some loops and played chords on his [Cm] on his keyboards.
And I just [Bbm] sang along what felt comfortable for me.
And it came together probably in under an hour.
[Gb] I like it.

[Ab] This was probably the [Fm] most fun of all the records [Bb] to make.
The [Bbm] first one was just nerve wracking and done in 10 days.
You know, our [Eb] first record, God Shuffle [Bb] the Seat.
That one was fun to do, too.
And A [Ab] Worm's Life was done in the Bahamas.
So [Cm] I guess there was good [Db] things about all of them.
But this one, I don't know.
I just felt that the [Bb] music was it was so different from anything that we'd done before.
