Hi everybody, Ukulele here and here's one of my favorite ukulele lessons.
So here's a quick and dirty version of Bruno Mars' Just The Way You Are.
We're going to start with our C chord.
So if you're just starting out, this is great for you.
[Eb] A great easy [C] lesson.
You're going to put your index finger on 1, [Bb] and your middle finger on 2, [Em] and your ring
[C] finger on 3 on that bottom string.
And that's your C chord, everyone's favorite chord.
The way you want to strum, you want to take your thumb and kind of look for that, where
the neck meets the body, and that's where you're going to strum.
So you practice keeping the beat on the C chord.
Now you don't need the other two fingers, you can just use that third finger.
Alright that's your first chord, C.
Then we're going to put our middle finger on the top
on the second fret, and that's the A minor chord.
So squeeze that in, [Am] middle finger, and again you're going to strum with that middle finger.
Strum with your thumb.
Alright leave your middle finger there, we're going to skip a string and add the index finger
on the first fret, and that's called the F chord.
So now we have a two finger chord, F chord, go ahead and [F] strum it out.
And then we go back to the C chord with your third finger on the bottom.
So review, we have the C chord, middle finger, ring finger, third fret.
Then [Am] we have middle finger on the top, second fret, A minor.
Then we skip a string, add the [F] index, F, and then we're back [C] to C.
Alright, you're going to play each chord eight times.
So let's start with the C chord, try it along with me.
One, two, ready, go.
Middle finger to [Am] the top, skip a string, add the [F] index, back to the C chord.
[C] And then we sing like Bruno Mars.
Her eyes, her eyes, make the stars look like they're not shining.
[Am] Her hair, her hair, falls perfectly without her trying.
[F] She's so beautiful, and I tell her every [C] day.
I know, I know, when I compliment her she won't [Am] believe me.
It's so, it's so, sad to think that she don't see what [F] I see.
But every time she asks me, do I look okay?
[C] I say, when I see your face,
there's not [Am] a thing that I would change.
Cause girl [F] you're amazing, just the way [C] you are.
And when you smile, the whole world [Am] stops and stares for a while.
Cause girl you're [F] amazing, just the way you [C] are.
Alright, now go show your friends.
