[N] Hey, what's up you guys Marty here again guitar jams calm I've got this is an old request
It gets requested, you know every once in a while and I was trying to think of a good easy song that works on your rhythm
and
Also, you know has some beginner chords in there.
So here we are.
So let me show you real quick
I just want to let you know the chord diagrams for this song are in my free ebook
so all you got to do is click the link over there and
In the information window and you sign up on my email list and then I send you a free ebook
Which has all of the beginner chords beginner scales all the you know, the beginning [B] foundation
I think people should have email to play
Play guitar.
So why don't you go ahead and do that?
It's very helpful and totally free
alright, here the chords we need the first [C] chord is a minor and
Then we're gonna go to an F chord [F] now some people play the F with a full bar chord
[N] Which can be challenging for people
another way is to have your ring finger on the third fret of the D [F] string and
then second fret of the G with your middle and then index the first on the B [C] and
You can actually bar the first on the high E and you get [F] this
what [D] I usually teach a beginner it's the way I learned it at [B] first was I just
Didn't worry about the [F] bar with my finger.
I just let that high E mute and it gets [B] you going definitely avoid [Am] the low E string
It will not sound right.
So we got a minor and
[F] F
Then this is [C] a nice little transition.
You're gonna see it a lot
We just take the middle and the ring finger and we move them up a string and then we have the C chord
So we [Am] have a minor
[F]
F, [C] C and
Then a G chord.
These are all the beginner chords.
You [C#] want to learn anyway, you're gonna be able to [G] play a million songs with these chords
[N] G so the rhythm is the tricky part because it's like an up-tempo song
But the thing I notice when people are having problems with their rhythm
Sometimes they don't realize that they still need to lay a little groundwork on getting smoother with their chord transitions
So the beginner song like this [Bm] sometimes you want to just look over your left left hand here and just work the shapes out a bit
a minor F C G a minor F C [F#] G
You know and then over here we start working on that pattern you got to take it slow to get it, right
But we're gonna break down that rhythm right now just with the right hand.
That's it
At least that's the one I'm giving you and you can do it.
Oh, it goes over and over and over
[D#]
[E]
So it starts down down down
[F] Then we go [D#] down down down
And [F#]
then an extra down and [E]
[D#]
[G#]
[F#]
then we have one quick down up which sets our hand up to do the pattern again
[F#m]
[F#]
[Am] Okay, so that's the pattern and then we go to the a minor chord and
Each one rhythm pattern takes up two of the chords.
So watch on the a minor we go
[F] [C]
[G] [Am]
[F] [C]
[G]
So that [N] change has to happen pretty quick because it's in the middle of that rhythm pattern, but you can get it
literally like five minutes a day of
Concentration ten minutes even you know over the top
You'll improve a little bit every day and then think you know two weeks later.
You should be just ripping it up
[Am] [F]
[C] [G]
[Am] [F]
[C] [G] [Am]
[C] [G] [Am]
[F] [C] [G] [A]
[F] [C] [G] [A]
[F] [C] [G] [A]
[F] [C] [G] [Am]
[F] [C] [G] [A]
[F] [C] [G] [Am]
[F] [C] [G] [Am]
[G] That's it the whole song over and over
So it's a really good practice for your rhythm and your chord changes
