So, Zach Brown made the trip over here and is playing the C2C Festival.
Zach's what I would consider one of my dear friends and mentors.
He's just an incredible guy, incredible musician.
We had the opportunity to be on tour with him for about a year, year and a half, nearly two years.
So, to be able to go out there and watch him and his band perform 40, 50, 60 shows was an educational experience in itself.
I mean, it's one of those things that you kind of have to pinch yourself to get out there.
From a songwriting standpoint, from an innovation standpoint, from just the drive that he has.
I asked him a lot of questions, you know, and he allowed me to do that.
There was a lot of different moments in his show and I think that's what I took from the Zach Brown guys.
You know, kind of the life changer was, you know, you're up there and given this platform, you're up there to create moments and create, you know, memories.
So, we definitely created a lot of memories together.
That was kind of Zach's leave on me.
You know, a lot of his music and his pick and his guitar playing is so different.
[Eb] But I'm going to kind of play one of [Bb] my songs, Making Me Look Good Again, and maybe put a little Zach Brown into it if I can.
[Eb]
[F]
I'm a worn and haggard,
[Eb] withered and torn, [Gm] drug [F] through the keel, got [Bb] back and loaded, bloodshot red.
[Eb] Behind these shades, when I look [F] like hell, I've seen [Bb] better days.
[Gm] And those loving eyes, [D] oh, they pull me back in.
And there you go, [Eb] baby, yeah, [F] making me look [Bb] good again.
Well, I'm rust on a barbed wire, I'm [Eb] dust on a cross.
I'm the heart, [F] I'm the heart that bleeds, oh, in an [Bb] old country song.
[Gm] And those loving eyes, [D] oh, they pull me back in.
And there [Eb] you go, baby, [F] making me look [Bb] good again.
[Gm] Leather and lace, [Cm] denim and pearls, [Bb] whiskey and wine, they go [Am] just fine, like you and me do, girl.
When you [C] smile at me [Cm] and say, there [Eb] ain't no better place
[F] than you'd [F] rather be, than right here, right here, loving me.
[Bb] Yeah,
[Eb]
[Gm] [F]
[Bb]
hey, [Gm]
oh, [D] oh,
[D] oh.

[F] [Bb]
Standing in, Lord, we were standing in that kitchen.
Been [Eb] a long day at work.
She slips [F]
her hand [C] right under [Bb] my shirt, oh, with [Gm]
those, with those loving arms, oh, yeah, [D] she pulls, she pulls me back again.
And there you [Eb] go, baby, yeah, [F] making me look [Bb] good again.
And there you [Eb] go, baby, [F] making me look good again.
[Bb]
[Eb] Oh, [C] oh, [Bb] oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, [Eb] oh, [Eb] oh, [C] oh, oh, oh, oh, [Bb] oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
Got whatever it is, don't know [Eb] why I cry.
You got [F] whatever it is, [Bb] buy and buy.
You got chicken fried on [Eb] a table, please.
You [C] got a little bit of good wine, [Bb] CBP, yeah.
Oh, give me that chicken fried.
Hope [Eb] they run on Friday night, [C] veggie bitches ride, oh, [Bb] yeah.
Give me that chicken fried, [Eb] veggie bitches ride.
[C] That's all I need to know, [Bb] yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, oh, yeah.
