In Melbourne, Renee Geyer organised [E] a benefit concert where [B] Mark surprised the crowd by performing the last time he ever sang.

[G] [A] Another concert called Good Vibrations took place in Sydney with some of the biggest names in rock and roll [C] giving their time to help raise [F] money for Mark [Bb] and his family.

[G] As well as surgery to remove the tumour, Mark [B] sought alternative treatment for his cancer, culminating in a trip to Italy last month for a controversial drug cocktail said to [Abm] cure cancer.
He returned [Ab] three weeks ago [Abm] in good health [B] and good spirits but in the last few days of his life, [Db] flipped into a coma.
He [A] was 44.
The [Dbm] last song Mark wrote [A] was called Be Alright [Dbm] and it sums up the message [A] he's left behind.

A brief solo career, Island Nights, a runaway winner, [Db] ended in 1984.

Dragon was a fans band and a [E] musicians band.
Guitarist Tommy Emmanuel was both.
When you go back and listen to the early records, they didn't sound like anyone else.
Late last year, Mark Hunter was diagnosed with throat cancer.
He [G] traveled the world searching for a cure, never despondent.
They were the luckiest people on earth.
At home, [B] his friends held benefit concerts and he sang for one last time.
His wife [B] and three children were with him [F] when he died last night and he'll be buried privately this weekend.
But the week after next, there'll be a full scale public memorial [Gm] service for Mark Hunter, the man who was Dragon.
