Hi, I'm Doyle Dykes.
It's good to be at the Music Zoo here in Roslyn, New York.
I'm here
for Godin Guitars.
It's great to be with you today.
This is the Godin Multiax [G#] Spectrum.
And what a great guitar for doing what I just did.
You actually kind of have the best of
both worlds.
Some electric stuff in there with a jazz type pickup, lipstick pickup.
This is actually a single coil.
[E] This is a Seymour Duncan pickup, but you put them [G] together
with [D#] these Piezo pickups and you just get this really great big sound and it's just
so much fun.
I feel like a rock star being here at the Music Zoo today.
[D] I mean, this
is a great place.
What a place to be.
But let me explain a little bit about this guitar.
The Spectrum has synth [E] access, but also just on the guitar side of it, as far as the magnetic
pickups, the magnetic pickup and the Piezo pickup, you can actually just plug into another
input here and play just the magnetic side, but it would sound like this.
So
[C] [E]
[C#]
[A] [Em] [G]
[Bm]
jazz core.
And then [Em] when you start adding the Piezo, you get this [A] really rich and [D]
[Bm]
[A]
[E] E string, [A]
you
get a really good by itself.
[B] [D]
[E] [A]
[E] [F#m]
[B]
[E] [A] [E] [A]
[C#m] [F#m] [B]
[E] [D]
[A] [B]
[A] [E] [A]
[F] [A]
It's just a beautiful sound.
Each string has its own
separate pickup here.
So when you're playing these lead notes, like [E] the melody lines, just
one string sounds great.
[A] [E] And the follow up guys, [A] [E]
[A] such great separation.
Has a [Em] rich, light
fingerboard, so you get a lot of sustain out of this fingerboard, this [Cm] fretboard.
A lot
of [E] spank too for things like this.
[A]
[Am] [Em] [A]
[C] [B]
[C] Early [B] Broadway.
[E] [D]
[G]
[C]
[D] [Gm] [Em]
[C] It's just every string just has
a sound of its own.
What a great guitar.
