[D] [G] Ok, in this section we're going to go over double bass drum fills.
Now here you will learn how to take those very basic fills that you've been used to
playing and spice them up by adding in the double bass drum.
Now this first fill we're going to play is a very basic 16th note fill.
You're going to play alternating patterns on your bass drum and you're going to follow
that with your snare drum as well.
Let me show you what I mean.

Alright, fill number two is the same as fill number one except we're going to move around the kit.
Ok, for drum fill number three you're going to be trading off patterns of four.
So 16th note patterns of four on your bass drum followed by 16th note patterns of four
on your snare drum.
Ok, for fill number four we're going to keep the same pattern on our bass drum but we're
going to break up our sticking pattern a little bit.
So play two on the snare, two on the tom, two on the other tom and then two on your floor tom.
Ok, for drum fill number five it's going to be really similar to the first one we played.
Instead of playing a constant roll on our snare drum we're going to switch it up a bit
and incorporate our cymbals for the last half.
I like to play on the ride cymbal and crash, however you can switch it up, maybe hi-hat
and crash, ride and hi-hat, it's totally up to you.
So give this one a try.
[C]
[Am] [D] Make sure you practice these fills nice and slow.
The smoother you play them, the faster they'll sound.
