I've been experimenting [D] with different
pickups _ [F] lately and just swapping out different _ combinations and seeing what works the [G] best.
This guitar [C] is a little mid-range heavy, so [A#]
it's been [F#] _ a _ little [Dm] bit of an adventure to
see what [D] _ pickups work best with it.
[G] And right now I'm really loving [Am] _ _ what I have now [Gm] in here.
[D] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ [Em] _

I have the transition pickup in the bridge, [Em] which is the [D] Steve Lucather _ [G] model.
_ _ [D] And I have
an Air [Em] Classic [D] in the neck. _ _ _
_ _ _ [E] _ _ _ _ [A] _
_ [E] _ _ _ [F#] _ _ [C#m] _ _
_ _ [F#] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ What I love about the transition is _ _ I just keep it backed off
just a little bit and it sounds [F#m] great for rhythm.
[E] And then for lead [A] I can just [E] give
it a little [F#] more power [C#m] _ and _ [A] _ _
it's [E] screaming. _ _ _ _ _

is an interesting pickup
for me. _
_ _ _ [E] You know, [A] neck [E] pickups can get really muddy _ and _ _ really hard to work with, especially
when you're playing chords and stuff.
And this one has more of like a spongy kind of _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [B] _ _ tone to [E] it.
_ _ _ It _ [B] really, really _ _ [E] brings out the highs and the lows [B] at the same time. _

_ _ _ [F] _ _ _ _ _
_ [E] _ _ _ _ _ _ _

And I just love

_ And [G#] _ this combo [D] really, [E] really gets
me where I need to be.
