imprinted themselves on the national landscape.
[Ab] And this next one was written by Hugh MacDonald,
and he can tell you all about it,
but we'd like to invite Rebecca Mason up again.
Come and sing with us.
[A] It's about Korean.
[Ab] Songs about Korean, ladies and gentlemen.
[G] Well, [Gm] such is the parlous state
of geography teaching in Australia.
However, [N] I used to tell this story
about an old man I met on the train
on the way up to Brisbane.
That was completely out of frog shit,
but the truth of the matter is that
living next door to me and Kerrang,
we lived in an ordinary kind of middle class house,
but next door to us was Mr.
Brown,
and Mr.
Brown, and Miss Brown,
and they were in their late 80s.
And I'd occasionally go and sit on a stump
and watch old Mr.
Brown chop wood.
And he'd tell me these lovely stories
about being a logger on the Murray,
and he was also a drover.
But he was nowhere near the Diamantina River,
but that word just leapt out of the page
and me on a map.
I thought it was a beautiful word
and had a song written about it.
And hence, that is the genesis
and the exodus of, shall we talk about the Bible,
[Ab]
of the [Gm] Diamantina drover.
And we'll sing it for you.
And we'd love to hear the Healesville Choir
singing along with us.
