[E] [G] Hey, what's up you guys?
Marty Schwartz here with Marty Music.
Thanks for hanging out for another lesson.
I'm going to break down this classic Depeche Mode song.
It can be played with super easy chords, but I'm also going to show you some of the tricks to.
Let's zoom in, break it down.
Thanks for supporting Marty Music.
All right, we're going to start with the simple chords, and then I'll show you some other cool tricks.
So if you're a beginner, you should be able to play the basics.
It's a G chord.
I go out of my head.
[C] Then we go to a C chord.
I just can't get enough.
I just can't get [G] enough.
G, G, G, G, G, G, G, G, G, G, [C] C, C, C, C, C.
[D] Then, that goes to D, [A] to E minor, right?
[Em] Easy chord.
And I, C, [C] C, C, C, [D] C, D, D, D, [G] D.
[C] [G]
[C]
Next part, D, [D] [Em] E minor, C, [C] [D] and G, E, sorry.
[G]
And so, if you wanted, you know, you can play the G this way, with that third fret B string,
because that's the, then you could go the regular G, just for, if you want, [C]
[G#] you know,
that kind of thing.
There's only one other thing that's going on, and it's like, [A] you could call it the bridge.
[D]
It does a [G] little A to [A] D.
[D]
[G]
[F#] [C] [A] [G]
[Em]
[G] So there's a lot of little ways to get the more, you know, obviously, I know it's a little
synthy, synthy song, the cat on the synth.
I know that, but it's really fun.
It's such a fun song, and you can play the notes on the guitar.
So it goes like this, [E] [G] and so I'm hitting the G string, and then I'm going second fret,
fourth fret.
Then I do it again.
Then again.
[C] Then up to the fifth fret.
[G#m] Five, four, [A] two, [G] four, and that's just the very first one.
But you can get that one in there.
[A] [G]
Okay, so it changes after that, and the next one would be, but what I'm doing is I'm using
the kind of open position to get the chords in there as well.
And so I'm going to show you that, you know, you got the easy part down, but if you want
to add some of the fancy stuff, this is what we're going to do.
So it's going middle [A] finger, second fret of [B] the G, and then open B, and that's [G] underneath
the G chord with the ring, middle, pinky fingering.
And I'm just going to grab that.
Then for the [C] C chord, that open G's still in there, [A#] but I'm just going to kind of take
my hand off to get [F#] that riff again.
[C] [B]
And then [C] C again.
[G] So check it out.
[Em]
[C] [A] [F#] [C]
C again, but emphasizing that G, you know, [B] [C] and I'm going
[B] one, one, O, two, open B.
[G]
[C]
[Em] [G]
[C] [D]
[Em]
[D] [G]
[Em] [C] [Em]
[G] [C]
[G]
All right, thanks for watching, you guys.
I hope you enjoyed it.
