Marty Schwartz here, GuitarJams.com.
Happy to bring you another lesson.
This one's real good for the beginners, plus it's very popular.
Capo on the second fret so we can just play all open chords.
[D#] Shouldn't be too bad.
[Em] Tons of requests for this, which I get through my request list [D#] down there.
Send you a chord and scale book, other video lessons that are not on YouTube, plus you
can reply with your song request in that link down there.
Anyway, let's zoom in.
[G] It's not going to be too bad [Em] and hopefully have fun [N] doing it.
Here we go.
All right, so I've got the guitar capo here on the second fret and they're just some basic chords.
So we're going to play a G major chord, [A] third fret, second [E] fret, third fret on the high [A] E there.
[B] Then we're going to go to a [E] D chord and [F] there's a little trick you can do that I noticed [B] he was doing.
[E] Start with the D chord with your middle finger off and then add it after your first strum.
It adds a little color to it.
[F] So you don't have to do it, but [A] it's a little trick.
You got G, [E] D, [F#] E minor, [F#m] second fret, second fret, then the [D] C chord.
[F#] Third, second, open G, [D] first on the B.
Okay, [A] so it does that.
The next time through, it just skips the E minor and plays C for [E] twice as long.
[D] We're also going to learn a little [A] rhythm, but the chords G, G, [E] G, D, [F#m] E minor, [D]
C.
Next
time [A] around, G, [E] D, [D] C for twice as long.
[F#m]
[D] [A] [D]
[A] [E] [F#m]
[D] [A] [E] [D]
[A]
[E] Don't worry about those fancy show offs there.
[C#] Check it out.
