Darbuka Lesson 4 - belledi rhythm [B] chords
Start Jamming...
Ah, this is our fourth meeting, and today we will discuss the rhythm belletti with its variations.
You remember maxoum?
[D] Belletti is very similar.
It only starts with two [Ab] bass sounds.
[C]
[F] Of [Ab] course, you should consider that if two separate rhythms vary by only one stroke,
they probably vary more in terms of rhythmical variations, tempos and melodic structures they [N] allow.
The maxoum is a rhythm that is played in fast and very fast tempos.
So, the basic variation is the row or the teca.
Belletti, on the other hand, is played in medium tempo.
And so, the basic variations would be a row followed by a teca sound.
Just like that.
Let's take a closer look.
[C] So, let's take the [E] row, finish with a teca, [C] teca and the main sound [N] teca.
[C]
[B] One, two, three, four.
Can
[Ab]
[N] you see it?
Remember to play the whole first part twice.
One, two, three, four.
[Gm] [D]
[C]
Thanks for watching.
[Ab] See you next time.
