[Dbm] [Abm] I'm Dan Bremlis and this [A] is the story of my incredible [Dbm] trip around the world in only [Gbm] eight [Abm] days.
[A] [E] [B]
[G]
And pretty quickly we discovered India was gonna give us its own set of challenges.
[F] So what just happened was we got a taxi at the airport, real nice old guy.
Get down the road ten minutes.
He's drunk.
Calls his son.
Son comes.
His dad gets in the car with his daughter.
Drives her home.
[Am] Big bottle.
Now he's driving us [N] to Agra, which is a
four hour drive if we don't stop and we're very thankful that it's him.
Yeah, very.
What happens when you start a trip at [Dm] 9 p.m. and you're not [Am] gonna arrive until [E] 2 a.m.?
[Bb] You get hungry sometimes.
Sometimes [F] you're on a highway in the middle of India.
What's it gonna [Eb] be?
Oh, that's a good [E] feast.
[G] It's 15 cents a naan, [A] so.
15 rupee?
No, yeah, [Em] 15 rupees.
So that's like [Ab] one cent.
15 [Abm] rupee.
It's almost a dollar?
No, it's [G] not almost a dollar.
No, no, not even close.
Not even a cent.
[B] [F] It's about that.
Yeah, this is [Dm] tandoori, [G] butter roti.
Yep.
[A] Sava roti.
Sure.
Well, sure felt good going in.
[C] Let's reconvene in another [Ebm] 10 hours and see how it goes.
[A] Our journey to [Db] Agra took a lot longer than anticipated.
Partially because our driver refused to take the highway.
We never really got a good explanation as to why and in the moment, we didn't care.
We were grateful to get a couple hours of sleep before dawn.
Because in the morning we were going to see [G] the Taj Mahal.
Everybody's on a mad dash.
Mad dash.
It's 6 o'clock in the morning.
They talk to us with every other Canadian. Western tourists.
And when we arrived at the Taj, the chaos of the night before receded into the back of our minds as we gazed upon [Em] this.
[G] [C]
[D] [Em]
[G] [C]
[D] [Em]
[G] So as you can see, we're here in this beautiful Taj Mahal.
[D] Dream come true.
We didn't know [Em] at one point last night if we'd make it.
It was a long drive.
We were supposed [G] to be there at about 10pm.
We made it at about 3am.
[C]
[D] [G] Yes, travel is quite hard in India.
But there was so much to see.
And we were struggling to take it all in.
Dan wants some masala dosa so bad.
I want you to have it if you've never had it.
And you can have it in India.
It's such a blessing.
We were still processing everything that we'd seen and heard on this trip so far.
But we knew that there was still one amazing destination left to go.
[Dbm] Wherever I go.
Wherever I go.
[A] [E] Yeah, wherever [B] I go.
