We make really good vegan french [Eb] toast and every time I put it on my insta story I get a lot of
replies [Bb] asking for the recipe but we're waiting till the album's out because we don't want [Gm] to
distract from the attention that that's going to get because this vegan french toast recipe
is going to break the internet.
When I was in year 12 a teacher told me I had zero stage presence.

Yeah yeah so I [Bb] auditioned for the high school musical in year [Gm] 11 or 12 [Bb] and I was told that I
had a pretty good voice but I had zero stage presence and so I couldn't be a lead [Eb] but then
someone ended up getting on a soccer team and I got to be like the understudy so [Bb] it kind of worked
_ but I feel like I have developed [Gm] since then and now I would [Eb] totally get the lead.
Okay so [Bb] I remembered to bring vegan cheese to the airport for a toasty in the lounge but I forgot my
bag with all my clothes in it [Gm] lol.
That was [C] pretty recent.
_ Before we go away to play shows it's always there's a lot of running around because we have
to [Gm] drop our dogs off at our friend's place and so we get a [Ab] maxi taxi load all the gear into [Gm] it
and then I drive [Eb] Missy and Evie to our friend's place and the maxi taxi meets us there and then
[Bb] I get in and we all go to the airport together and on a recent trip [Gm] when I had dropped Missy
and Evie off I like got in the maxi I was like hey Boland [Bb] is our bag with our clothes in it in here
I thought Tim had packed the clothes, Tim [Gm] thought I had packed the clothes, neither of us had packed the clothes
but we did have the vegan cheese.
[Bb] So I drove home and then got the bag of clothes and met everyone [Gm] at the airport
and [Eb] made the flight and we got to have our [Gm] vegan toasties in the lounge.
Someone at this restaurant keeps playing sometime straight out of their phone about five meters away from us and I'm [Eb] loving it.
That was in Adelaide.
[G] Yeah it was it was pretty funny it's like are they doing that [Eb] because we're here or
they they just feel like they need to be listening to this out of their phone while they eat [Bb] dinner.
Someone the other day would have been like 40 maybe sitting next to us on the plane
[Eb] and as soon as he sort of spoke to us after the flight landed [Bb] he put his phone on and it was
playing come on mess me up and he was like oh [Eb] it's a little bit.
I like it.

Do you all ever wonder if Kylie Jenner has heard a Cubsport [Bb] song or is that just me lol.
I love Kylie Jenner so much and I [Eb] just really want her to hear a Cubsport song and I want her to like it.

When you're [Bb] driving from the south side of Brisbane like into the CBD you [Eb] drive over a bridge and
there's like water and I swear the sun is always just shining and [Bb] the water's twinkling and yeah.
It's nice.

[Gm] Nine and a half years ago we played our first show together to about 10 people at a little
venue in Brisbane called The Hive.
Today we're announcing the biggest shows of our career presented by Triple J and [Bb] Cubsport
and [Gm] Cubsport Records on sale now.
[Bb] Yeah it's been a cool journey.
That was a funny tiny show.
Yeah that was [Gm] the first time that I had enough songs that I'd written [Eb] to like play a set
_ [Bb] and it was under Tim Nelson and I just got in touch with people that I [Gm] knew could play
instruments to see if they'd play that one show with me and I [Bb] don't think it was particularly
good but everyone stuck around.
You might have played a glockenspiel on [Gm] that.
Yeah probably and probably like a melodica.
A few shows after.
[Bb] _ I don't even think Zo was the first person you [Gm] reached out to to play for that one.
Is it?
No it was it was someone [Bb] else from school and he couldn't do it and thank goodness Zo [Eb] could.
I can't even imagine.

Wow I just gotta [Eb] say Christmas hams are not cute.
This last Christmas was, [Bb] oh we were vegetarian for the Christmas before but this last one was
our first [Eb] Christmas as vegans and I've always found hams [Bb] like ham gross.
A whole ham is like even more gross [Eb] but there's something about Christmas time when you see
them all like piled in [Bb] together with like glitter, uh tinsel all around.
It's like they're not cute like stop like trying to dress [Eb] this up.
You'll better believe I emailed Cher's manager earlier this year to ask
[Bb] if she'd do guest vox on Sometimes in the choruses.
Yeah I [Eb] still feel like that chorus [Gm] is made for Cher's voice.
Every time I listen to it I'm like Cher would sound so much better singing this.
Every time we play it live I try and channel Cher's energy when I start singing the melody.
[Bb] I can feel it.
Yeah I still feel like that can happen.
I'm [Gm] happy to revisit Sometimes at any point in our career or maybe we'll do a new song together.
But [Bb] still yeah haven't given up hope.
Just met Martha Stewart [Gm] at the airport and she's an absolute angel.

That was just a couple of weeks ago which was really nice.
Yeah we had just played Falls in Marion Bay and _ [A] the lady at check-in [Gm] told Martha Stewart to
move behind us in the line _ [Eb] because she was lining up at the wrong spot or something.
And she was like okay like [Bb] it was just us and her.
She's like I okay I'll do that doesn't make a difference.
_ [Gm] And then we started chatting like oh my god that's Martha Stewart.
And then [Bb] afterwards we're like yes that was Martha Stewart.
She was saying she has a show with Snoop.
[Gm] _ Track [Eb] nine of [Gm] Cubs 4 by Cubs 4 is called Come Out and has [C] the most perfect death drop [Bb] moment
at 2.36.
You're gonna wig.
[Gm] So that is like my peak goal for 2019 is to learn how to death drop without [Bb] like snapping a hamstring.
_ It has to happen.
And this moment [Eb] is like for anyone who [Bb] watches Ripple's Drag Race there are like certain lip
sync songs that just [Gm] lend themselves to like the perfect death drop moment.
I feel [C] like this is one of [Bb] them.
It's going from the bridge into the final chorus and that's [Eb] another thing that just has to happen.
I'm putting that out into the universe too.
