Cosmo Pyke - Piper for Janet Guitar Tutorial chords
Start Jamming...
Hi guys, so I recently put up a tutorial for Cosmo Pikes new song Pipe for Janet and a lot of you guys wanted a tutorial
So I'll do my best to try and explain how to play it and you know explain the chords to you guys and stuff
so basically the intro starts on a B minor 7 and you hammer on from
the 7 to the 9 on the D so
Like that and then you walk that up and do the exact same thing on [G] the C minor 7 and the C sharp minor [C#m] 7
so
[Cm] [C#m]
[Bm] [B] [C#m]
[C#] You go to this chord, which is a C sharp 7
And you start with your pinky on the 12th fret of the B string and then you take it off
So [Bm] far we got
[G#m] [C#]
[F#m] Then you go into a F sharp minor 7
Just hit the root note of the chord and then just play it once
Then you do this little [G#m] lick which is
So that's 7 on the
9th
9th on the E string sorry [G#] and then [G#m] 13th on the B
[C]
[Am] [G#m]
[Am] [B]
[A] And that's 10 on the B, [C] and then you slide up from 12 to 14 on the B
[A]
[G]
[E] Then you come to what kind of like a C sharp minor chord
here
[C#m]
[E]
That
[F#] [A]
[C] [E]
[Bm] [D#]
[E] [A]
So [C] [Am] [E]
C sharp minor and then do this lick [Am]
[B] [Bm]
[G#] [E]
[G#m] that's
[D]
[Fm] Just kind of like a C sharp minor pentatonic II kind of thing so you hammer [Am] on
[G#] from 9 to the 10
[F#] Then the 9 to the 11 on the G
[D]
[E]
[D]
[D#] Then you walk back up again [E] like the intro
[C#] And C sharp 7 and it literally just repeats itself, but on the second time around you do this instead
[Am]
[A] [E]
[F#] [E]
[D]
Do that instead so it's like a B minor 9 you just put your pinky on the 9th of
the E string
[Bm] [E] Then C sharp minor 7
[C#]
[G#] So I'll just play it through slowly and maybe I like a better angle so you guys can see properly so here we [Bm] go
[C#m] [C#]
[A] [E]
[D]
[D#] [E]
[C#]
[Bm]
[E]
[C#]
Okay, yes, that's pretty much it for the intro
Hopefully that helps you guys learn how to play it and then for the verse chords.
They're really simple.
It's just [D] a D major 7
[C#m] C sharp minor 7
[F#m] B minor 7 [E] C sharp minor 7 again
[F#m]
[C#m]
[E] [F#m] So [E] sick of lying in my single [F#m] bed
Don't make excuse to buy this heartfelt [F#m] stress
Man on a [C#m] high my mind's ever [D]
possessed these thoughts are obtuse to them.
