I meant to do this one a while ago actually, this is the closing theme to Corner [E] Gas.

So here's [N] another great three chord song, starting on the fifth fret right here.
We're doing fifth string fifth fret, fourth string seventh fret, and third string seventh fret.
And we're kind of doing that same chord pattern.
A little trick I do maybe is I take my first finger and just sort of gently push it up
against the sixth [D] string, just to kind of stop it [C] from ringing, because you just want
to play those three strings, the fifth, fourth, and [D] third.
[E] [A]
[G] [D] [N] So when that changes, we go to the sixth string, fifth fret, just move everything down one,
and then we just move that whole pattern down two frets to the G, and then back to the beginning.
[D]
[G]
[A] [G] [D]
[E] And then there's a [Dm] little lick that he does that [G] goes
[N] Now the way I play that, it's hard for me to hear exactly what he's doing there, because
I think there's two guitars playing it even maybe, I'm not sure.
It's an open D, open fourth string.
You play that twice, and you go onto the third fret, [D]
[F] [D] [Ab] open again, and then [G] the second time
you kind of bend that [F] third fret, fourth string up.
[B] [Dm]
[N] And then you have to go into [G] the chords pretty [E] quickly.
[A] Now, another way to do this, instead of playing here the first time, you play it on the second
fret, and you kind of gently bend it up, and then you play it on the third [Gb] fret and do
a bigger bend.
So you [D] go
[F]
[C] [G] [Ab] And that one sounds a little bit better to me, but once again I'm not sure [Dm] if that's
what he does or not.
[G] [Ab] And then the two chords for the chorus of the song are just the same two on the [D] low
strings here, third fret, fifth fret, which is a G and an A, [G]
[A] [G]
[D]
and then back into that part.
[G]
Now, sometimes I do these chords for that.
[A] [Gm]
[Gb] I don't know if they actually do that in the [C] song, but most of you probably know these chords.
That's adding a sixth to the chord.
If you're doing your chord here on the third fret, you just take your pinky [F] basically and
put it off and on on the fifth string, [G] seventh fret.
And now you're just playing the top two strings.
[A] Slide it up two frets.
[G] [A]
[F] If that's something you can try.
Some of you may find it easier, instead of doing this, is you put your middle finger [G] there.
[D] [A]
