[F] [Am]
[C]
[Gm] I'm Sima, [F] we're here at Alfie's.
[Am] I'm going to go in and I'm [Gm] going to try really hard
not to buy loads of antiques because that's what I do all of the time and [F] that's why I
waste all my money.
But I have a feeling that I'm going [C] to buy some anyway.
Well let's [Fm] have
a [Gm] look, let's see what's in there.
[F] [Am]
[Gm] This is a bit of me like, this is a bit of me.
This
is the kind of thing that you would find in my house.
I love anything [N] that is functional
but still looks like a cartoon.
I have a lot of Tom and Jerry mugs, a lot of Tom and Jerry
crockery and these guys would fit right in.
They are so cute, I love them.
There's like
a little stack of playing cards here and I very recently started collecting playing
cards only because I kept finding them.
So these are cool because these are like, these
are like an advertisement for a cigarette company which obviously we don't do that anymore
because we don't advertise cigarettes anymore.
But like it's, you get a lot of really cool
packets and really a lot of cool brands.
I have [G] three packets of Japan Airlines playing
[N] cards and they all have like different designs on the back that are kind of relating to Japanese
culture especially whatever was kind of cool and interesting in the 70s.
Ultraband, Japanese
card game.
I went through a phase when I lived in Manchester, I used to collect board games
that I found particularly there's lots of different kind of I guess off-brand versions
of Trivial Pursuits that I would find in charity shops and stuff that are from the 70s and
80s and all of the cultural, all of the cultural references were like so outdated.
It'd be
like who played Vera Hemsworth in a 1969 episode of Coronation Street that only ever aired once
and it's like normal people at the time would be like blah blah blah and it's like the,
the references are so outdated I love it though.
It's really funny because then you feel super
smart if you even get one.
Okay now this is cool.
So this is like a book of knitting patterns.
Divine.
Love this.
My nanny is a great crocheter and I used to get like knitting patterns from
stuff when I was a teenager and bring them to her.
She can't knit, she's not really a
crocheter.
But I love this.
Look at this.
I don't really have anything to say about
it I just like, I like anything like this.
I used to collect like something that this
reminds me of is like the old Beatles fan magazines.
Like the Beatles fan handbook that
would be released once a week and it had this kind of you know this kind of font and stuff
[G] would be big and colourful.
My first ever collection that I ever had [F] was when I was a child so
I think I was about five or six and I got the DVD of 102 Dalmatians which was the sequel of 101
Dalmatians the real life action one with Glenn Close [C] and in McDonald's at the time [Gm] in the Happy
Meal they were selling like [Fm] McDonald's like Dalmatian McDonald's toys in the Happy [Am] Meals
and then they ended up in [Dm] loads of charity [Gm] shops in Dublin.
Now I [F] was obsessed with [Fm] Dalmatians [F] as
a child they were my favourite dog I [C] was just obsessed.
[Gm] I was obsessed with Dalmatians I couldn't
stop thinking about Dalmatians [E] I couldn't stop drawing [Am] Dalmatians I just thought they're the
best thing I ever saw ever.
Even now as a [Bb] 25 year old woman I can't leave a Dalmatian thing down
[Am] anytime I see something with Dalmatian print or something that has Dalmatians on it I [Gm] literally
have to have it and I can't leave it so I'm going to buy this off you [N] that's my that's my story.
Okay I'm [D] finished in [G] Alfie's Antiques I got my Dalmatian scarf and I also got my [N] playing cards
and I'm gonna go find a way to [Cm] use both of them at once.
