Civilization - Danny Kaye w/ The Andrews Sisters Cover featuring Faith Shaw chords
Start Jamming...
[Db]
Shmooling a missionary appetizer neon sign.
He tells the native population [Bb] that civilization [Ab] is fine.
And three educated salvages haul it from a bamboo tree.
That [C] civilization is a thing for me [Bbm] to see.
[Ebm] [Bb] [Ab] [Db] I'm so bongo bongo bongo I don't want to leave the Congo.
No no no no no.
Bingo bingo bongo I'm so happy [D] in the jungle [Ab] I refuse to go.
Don't want no bright lights, false teeth, doorbells, landlords.
I make it clear that no matter how they coax him, [Db] I'll stay right here.
I look through a magazine the missionary's wife has seen.
I see how people who are civilized bung [D] you with [Ab] automobiles.
At the movies they have got to pay mini coconuts to see.
Uncivilized pictures that the news reel [Db] takes of me.
[Gb] [Fm]
[Db] I'm so bongo bongo bongo I don't want to leave the Congo.
No no no no no.
Bingo bingo bongo I'm so [Fm] happy in the jungle [Ab] I refuse to go.
[Gb] Don't want no penthouse, shower, streetcars, and taxis.
Noise in my ear.
[Ab] So no matter how they coax him, I'll stay [Db] right here.
They hurry like savages to get a boat and iron train.
I know it's smoky and it's crowded they're too [Dm] civilized [Ab] to complain.
When they got two weeks vacation they hurry to vacation ground.
They swim and they fish but that's what I do [Db] all year [Ebm] round.
[Db] [Ab] [Db] So bongo bongo bongo I don't want to leave the Congo.
No no no no no.
Bingo bingo bongo I'm so [Fm] happy in the jungle [Ab] I refuse to go.
Don't want no jailhouse, shotgun, fish hooks, golf clubs.
I got my squeeze.
So no matter how they coax him, [Db] I'll stay right here.
They have things like the atom bomb.
So [F] I think I'll stay where [Bb] I am.
[Gb] Civilization.
[Ab] I'll [Db] stay right here.
[Ebm] [Eb] [Db]
[N] So this video is the first part of a three part series that are all cover songs from the game Fallout 3.
Fallout 3 was game of the year 2008 and since 2008 it's been game of my life sort of.
It's my favorite game.
The new Fallout, Fallout New Vegas is coming out October 19th.
And so I thought to kind of commemorate the release and celebrate Fallout 3 as well.
I would do these three songs.
So these are three songs from the game Fallout 3.
And two more coming in the next couple weeks.
And you should preorder your copy of New Vegas because it looks like it's going to be awesome.
So hope you enjoy.
