In a few moments, Reverend Greg Laurie, pastor of the Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside
and a member of our General Crusade Committee, is going to lead us in prayer.
I believe, Greg, you have a few members in the choir, too, and we're grateful.
But right now, it's my great delight and privilege to present to you a man, really,
who needs no introduction in California and this part of the country,
in fact, in a good many parts of our country.
You see his picture there in the guests for tonight, tonight's special guests.
Chuck Gerard is a native Californian, and he was one of the original members of Love Song,
which was a musical band that played a very important part in those days of the Jesus movement,
back in the late 60s and the early 70s.
He came to know the Lord in 1970, and tonight we just are so happy that Chuck and his wife, Karen,
along with four beautiful daughters, Kristen, Alicia, Cherie, and Nicole are here.
Chuck, we're glad you're here, too.
Let's welcome Chuck Gerard tonight, shall we?
It's a delight to have you.
Thank you.
Well, it's a joy to be here among you, to lift up the name that is above every name tonight,
the name of Jesus of Nazareth, King of kings and Lord of every law.
It's the name above all names, [Bb]
and we will declare it, [A]
we will declare it.
It's the [Bb] name above all names, and [Bb] we will [F] shout it to a dying world.
Who will declare my name?
[Bb] Who [F] will shout my name [Gm] in the middle of the nation?
[C]
Who will take the shield of [C] faith and the sword [Dm] of my tongue [Gm] and declare my name to a [C] dying world?
[F] He who [C] has declared [F] me thus far shall [Bb]
walk in even greater [Gm] power.
[C] Though the sands of time [F] are running [C] out, [Gm] my name will be declared [C] in this final hour.
[F]
I am Jehovah, [Bb]
[C] I'll soon [F] call.
[Dm] I form the world [Gm] with a whisper, [Bb] but I'm getting ready, I'm getting ready.
I'm [C] too shy.
[F] It's the [C] name above [Am] all [F] names, [Bb] and we [C] will declare it, [Bb] you and I.
[C] [F] It's the name.
[Gm] [F]
[Bb] [C] [F]
[C] It's my will to [F] possess my people, [Bb]
but I can only take that which [Gm] you'll surrender to me.
And the time is short, and [C] I'm asking for all of you, for I am building an [F] army, and I've given you my [Dm] name.
[Gm] And my words in your mouths will set the [C] captives free.
[F]
I am [Bb]
[C] Jehovah, I'll soon [F] call.
[Dm] I created the world [Gm] with just a whisper, [Bb] but behold, I come quickly.
I'm coming with the sound of a trumpet.
I'm getting ready [C] to shout.
[F] [C] [F]
[Bb] [C]
[F] [Bb]
[C] [F]
Yes, it's the [C] name above [Am] all [F] [Bb] names, and we will [C] declare it, [Bb] you and I.
We'll [C] declare it.
[F] It's the name [C] above all [Am] [F]
[Bb] names, and we will [C] declare it to a dying [F] world.
[N]
Let's pray.
Father, you've told us in your word that at the name of Jesus Christ, every knee would bow and every tongue would confess that you are the Lord.
And in this great stadium tonight, we know, Lord, that one day soon in eternity, every one of us will bow.
And I hope that many of us will not be bowing too late.
For many of us want to bow in gratitude for what you've done in our life in that day, ready to meet you.
But others may bow realizing they neglected the opportunity to respond to you.
I pray tonight that no one would neglect that opportunity and that decisions would be made.
I remember when I was a little kid and I heard the gospel for the first time and I thought it would never work for me.
But then you did a transformation process and changed me on a level I could understand.
And I pray for young people tonight that they would realize that you can do that same work for them.
But not just young people, but people of all ages.
That they would make a decision because eternity is real.
One day soon, we're all going to stand before you.
We pray you will anoint and give boldness to Mr.
Graham as he brings forth the word.
Let his words be yours.
And we pray that you'll be glorified and that many will come into the kingdom this very night.
We agree together and we ask it now in Jesus' name.
Amen.
