[C] [E] [F] [Gb]
[G] [F] [C]
[E] [Gb] [G] Hardest work has been in show [Bb] business.
[G] We are but we don't do it.
We don't feel obligated
We [Bb] love it.
We come out and do this not because we have to we [F] want
[G]
[Bb] [F] [G] We've been best friends from the beginning and we still are [Bb] when we're at home
We all you know how bands go home and you split up
Well about the next day.
I find myself at my brother's house and we're with Roman and [G] Jesse.
We all get back together
So we're never really apart.
So we're [C] just one big family
[Db] [D] [G]
[Eb] I came [F] to [E] raise [C] hell, I came to free [Fm] myself
[N] I got introduced to D-Drum doing a
morning radio [Gb] show [G] in
Florida [N] and I walked in
And there's a little five-piece set of D-Drums set up and I sat down behind them and I hit on them and I was like
Oh, damn, they sound good, man.
[Bb] Can't believe it.
I didn't even have to tune them.
Callers called in going man.
Sounds fucking [G] great
I had been with another company which I won't mention for 15 years
[Bb] Very corporate company [G] very corporate you call there
You had to call one guy to get to the next guy to [Ebm] get some guy to get what you needed
Well when you're on the road, [Gm] you can't do that
I [Em] need to call I need it the next day [Bb] when I met Felix and all the other [D] guys in the company.
[Am] I
[A]
Mean, they were just so cool.
They're all like musicians
They don't walk around in ties [C] and you know jackets.
[G] They were all rock and roll guys
[A] So I told him I said dude, I've been with this [C] company for 15 years [G] if I come into here [Am] hardware drums, whatever
I'm gonna go all the way so [C] I called him the next day and I [Gm] told him the drum sizes I wanted
[A] He said I'm on mega set
Just [C] so you can tap around on them to see if you [Gm] really want to be [A] with this company
Well, dude, I got on the [C] carport when I got home a week later set all the stuff [Gm] up in my garage
[Em] I got my nine-year-old my five-year-old and we're setting [C] up stuff and we're playing and my [D] son's playing and I'm like [E] man
This is what we're doing
[A]
[D] I
Mean this [A] is my new badass D drum drum set with crust and flames
[F] We're doing two 24 by 20 [A] kick drums.
This is 13 14
[Dm] 16 floor [F] and this is my 20 inch floor Tom
[Em] Pretty much when I hit that it sounds like the [Am] buildings gonna explode.
You'll see that later.
It'll shatter this camera.
I played a
14 by 8 maple snare my [E] pretty much my whole career and I called Felix I said dude
I need to try out a couple of snare drums [Am] said well, dude, [C] I can send you this
But let me send you [Bb] this 14 by 7 steel [Am] stainless steel snare
And I really never [Bb] like the sound of metal.
He said well just [A] just try it
Unwrap that [Bb] son bitch and I put it on the stand and hit it and dude
[A]
I'm called him three times to try to get two more.
It's the best snare drum
I've ever played the loudest snare drum I've ever played and that's what Felix actually [C] told me that he said man
You've been playing the wood [Bb] when you get this one.
[C] It'll be the loudest son of a bitch
You've ever heard and that's his [Bb] exact words and it was [N] hands-down best snare drum.
I've ever
[Gb] [E] Every
[Gb] kid I've had is nothing, you know off the shelf every kid I've has been custom painted to some kind of theme
I had one that with the first one
I got look like big 55 gallon drums with the chemical things on and then the next one we done was like a flying tiger
P40 the one that I had before the [Gbm] d drum.
It was candy apple red with flames [Gb] kind of like a race car
You know, you got it made at night
When my crew comes out and they uncover the drum set and the crowds roaring
You really don't have [N] to do anything past that
So we kind of got I kind of got into everybody's looking to see what's his drum set gonna be?
So that's what I told [Gb] Felix going in and Josh I said
Gotta have a paint job.
You got to do [E] something special
So my tattoo guy knew that I [Gb] like flames so he went in and done realistic [E] flame
[Em]
[N] This is my hot rod dude, we got [Ab] headers
[E] I've actually got a big [Ab] blower that goes between the drums [G] right here
But it sticks out so far and in [A] this little building
I couldn't [Ab] put it out there because it hits [Gb] our singer in the back
But it's a big blower [Db] with lights on it looks totally [Bb] shit [N] in my hot rod.
It's my baby
Our fans have been there and they still come out from day to day if we never made another record
We'd still have a great [E] fan base.
They're just very loyal crazy wild
I think we could play on the [Em] moon and we got some people show up with Jackal tattoos
I [E] don't you [Gm] know, they flop in their [Cm] own spaceship.
They built in their [Em] barn out back.
Who knows?
[A] I
Man this is [N] Chris from Jack on catch us out on tour with D drum baby rock me roll [G] me jackle me out
