Hey [N] folks, I'm Mike Wicher.
In this lesson, we're going to learn the classic instrumental Chair Key Shuffle.
This arrangement comes from my first book, Resonator Guitar, Tunes, Techniques, and Practice Skills.
It's in the key of A.
We'll put the capo on the second fret, and it utilizes a lot of
hammer-ons and pull-offs.
We also are going to be playing out of a couple of different positions on the fretboard.
So I'll walk you through each phrase and give you some pointers on the technique to clean it up.
Here we go.
So to get started with the first [E] phrase, place the thumb on the fourth string, index over
the third, and middle finger over the second string.
Here's the first phrase.
[A]
[F#m] [C#m]
[E] So it starts with a hammer-on on the fourth string, second fret.
We pluck it open, hammer-on second.
