play Ring by Cardi B featuring Kehlani.
Let's get it!
[C]
Alright True Crew you already know what it is
time to wreck another tutorial.
This song is two parts long two parts strong and it only consists
of four chords.
Easy peasy and if you can learn how to play this song please send me a video of
you doing it.
One person will win a $25 Amazon gift card and a True Crew t-shirt.
So look in
the description to find out how you can win that prize.
Also if you like this video consider leaving
a like before you go it means a lot.
But alright that's enough talking let's get into it.
I'm going
to play some of this song for you first and then I'm going to show you how to play it.
Oh and by
the way I'm going to sing a little bit of this song for you as well.
I'm no singer and I don't
know the words that well so bear with me.
Here it is.
[A] [B]
[C#m]
[E] [A]
[B]
[G#m] [A]
Then we go to the verse which is a little bit lower and this is where Cardi starts rapping.
[B]
[C#m] [B] [E] [A]
Alright and that's the verse and it repeats [B]
some some some some some some some some some [E] some
some [A] you know what I'm saying it's just [N] that's the verse.
So like I said the song is only two
parts it's very simple.
So let's get into the tutorial.
This song is in the key of D flat minor.
I'm going to show you how to play the hook first and then I'm going to show you how to play part
two.
So the hook starts right here on an A major 7 chord.
[C#m]
[A] This is your first chord.
Left hand does
an A octave in the bass.
Right hand does [C#] a D flat [C#m] E A flat D flat.
[A] Then your second chord is a B
major.
[B] Alright it's right here.
Your left hand is going to do a B in the bass.
Your right hand is
going to do [D#] a E flat G flat [B] B E flat.
That's your second chord.
Then we go to this three part
segment I mean three chord segment.
A little progression is going to go [C#m] like this.
[E] Alright
and that that progression starts on a D flat minor [C#m] chord.
Alright so your left hand is doing
a D flat in the bass octave.
[C#] Right hand is doing an A flat D flat [C#m] E A flat.
Then we go right here
[B] so B major.
Left hand does an E flat octave in [D#] the bass.
Right hand [B] does a B E flat G flat B.
Alright then we go to this final chord in this three chord [E] progression which is an E major.
Left hand does an E octave in the bass.
Right hand does a [B] B [E] E A flat B.
Alright and then we're
going to finish on our A major 7 which is right [A] here.
Okay so our left hand is going to do an A
octave in the bass.
Our right hand is going to do an [C#m] E A flat D flat E.
[A] Alright and that will finish
the hook.
So as you can see it's very simple and I know I went through it [F] kind of quickly.
So what
I'm going to do is I'm going to play it for you slowly.
So the hook aka part one starts right here
and it sounds like this slowly.
[B]
[C#m] [B] [A]
Alright one more time with the with the singing.
You don't hit my
line no more.
[B] Oh oh.
You don't make it [G#m] ring [E] ring [A] ring ring.
Alright and that's that.
That is the
that is part one.
Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to show you how to play part two which is
the verse and it's pretty much the same kind of chord.
It's the same chords actually but they're
played a little bit lower a little bit more subtle.
So what we're going to do we're going to start on
an A major 7.
It's going to be right here part two.
Alright what this is your left hand is hitting an A
in the bass.
Right hand is doing a D flat E A flat.
Second chord is [B] here.
Alright left hand is doing a
B natural in the bass.
Right hand is doing a B E flat G flat.
It's just a B major chord.
Then we're going to go up here to our D flat [C#m] minor.
Left hand doing a D flat.
Right hand doing a D
flat E A flat.
Alright then we're going to go here
[B] to our B major.
Right here left hand is hitting an
E [D#] flat.
Right hand's hitting a E flat G flat [B]
B.
Then we're going to go to an [C#m] E6.
Alright what
we're going to do is our B is going to grace note up to this D flat.
So we're going to go.
So what those notes are your left hand hits an E in the [E] bass.
Right hand hits an E A flat and it's
going to hit a B natural and that B natural is going to grace note up to a [C#m] D flat.
So we're
Alright so that three chord progression is going to go.
[B]
[C#m] Alright then we're going to finish right
back on our A major 7 again which [A] is right here.
So our left hand's hitting that A and our right
hand's doing a [C#m] D flat E A flat.
[A] And that finishes part two which is the verse.
I'm going to play it
for you nice and slow so I can eliminate the confusion.
It's going to sound like this.
[B]
[C#m]
[B] [C#m] [A]
Alright that's the verse.
Cardi's rapping right [B] here.
Spitting on flames.
[C#m] Let me just do.
[B] [C#m] [A] So you'll play that throughout the verse and then you go back to the hook.
Right the part one.
[B]
And [D#] you can play with the bass.
As you know when I played it for you in the beginning I play with
the bass notes a little bit.
But in this tutorial I just like to give you all the chords and then
you can play with the bass however you want to.
Or you can rewatch the intro and just see how I
play with the bass if you want to do it the same way I do.
And then that finishes up this tutorial.

Then we go to this three part
segment I mean three chord segment.
A little progression is going to go [C#m] like this.
_ _ [E] _ _ Alright
and that that progression starts on a D flat minor [C#m] chord.
_ Alright so your left hand is doing
a D flat in the bass octave.
[C#] _ Right hand is doing an A flat D flat [C#m] E A flat.
_ _ _ Then we go right here _
[B] _ so B major.
Left hand does an E flat octave in [D#] the bass.

_ _ _ Alright then we go to this _ final chord in this three chord [E] progression _ which is an E major.
Left hand does an E octave in the bass.
Right hand does a [B] B [E] E A flat B.
_ _ _ _ _ _ Alright and then we're
going to finish on our A major 7 which is right [A] here.
_ _ Okay so our left hand is going to do an A
octave in the bass.
Our right hand is going to do an [C#m] E A flat D flat E. _
_ _ [A] Alright and that will finish
the hook.
So as you can see it's very simple and I know I went through it [F] kind of quickly.
So what
I'm going to do is I'm going to play it for you slowly.
So the hook aka part one starts right here
and it sounds like this slowly. _ _ _ _
_ _ [B] _ _ _ _ _ _

_ _ _ Alright one more time with the with the singing.
You don't hit my

[B] _ Oh oh.
_ You don't make it [G#m] ring [E] ring [A] ring ring.
Alright and that's that.
That is the
that is part one.
_ Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to show you how to play part two which is

_ _ _ Alright what this is your left hand is hitting an A

Right hand is doing a D flat E _ A flat.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ Second chord is [B] here. _
_ _ Alright left hand is doing a
B natural in the bass.
Right hand is doing a B E flat G flat.
_ _ _ It's just a B major chord.
_ Then we're going to go up here to our D flat [C#m] minor.
_ _ Left hand doing a D flat.
Right hand doing a D
flat E A flat.
_ _ _ _ Alright then we're going to go here _ _ _ _ _
_ [B] to our B major. _
_ Right here left hand is hitting an
E [D#] flat.
Right hand's hitting a E flat G flat [B]
B.
_ _ _ _ Then we're going to go to an [C#m] E6.
_ _ _ Alright what
we're going to do is our B is going to grace note up to this D flat.
So we're going to go.
_ _ So what those notes are your left hand hits an E in the [E] bass.
Right hand hits an E A flat and it's
going to hit a B natural and that B natural is going to grace note up to a [C#m] D flat.
_ So we're _ _
_ _ _ Alright so that three chord progression is going to go.
_ _ [B] _
_ [C#m] _ _ _ Alright then we're going to finish right
back on our A major 7 again which [A] is right here.
So our left hand's hitting that A and our right
hand's doing a [C#m] D flat E A flat. _
_ [A] _ _ And that finishes part two which is the verse.
I'm going to play it
for you nice and slow so I can eliminate the confusion.
