Can A Baritone Guitar Do METAL? chords

What's going on guys?
Fluff here with something [Bb] slightly different this time.
You may have recently seen [F] my buddy Glenn Fricker ask the question,
Does a Tele [Cm] do metal?
And you can watch that video right here.
I will link to it down below in the description.
I thought that is a really interesting question, which led me to think
[F] Can a baritone guitar do metal?
Baritones first came to earth in the mid-1800s.
The first one was discovered encased in ice in a meteorite that fell in
Central [E] Siberia, and it was [Eb] then
Chipped away, and it was taken it was taken to a remote village where they primarily played
country music and
French pop music with the baritone.
Now predominantly the baritone [Gb] guitar is typically used these days
[Ab] for country music, French pop, and
Genesis [E] cover bands, but today we are [F] going to see if this baritone can do
Metal.
Some specs on the guitar.
It is a 26 and a half inch scale.
It has some Fishman
Fluence classic pickups in it and an Evertune bridge, and we're going to see if we can coax
Some metal tones out of this thing.
I don't know.
I've never really tried
With a baritone like I said [Bb] typically this is used for a lot of country.
This guitar in particular
I've used on a ton of country sessions.
[F] I'm also going to [E] use a very
Unconventional non-metal amp.
This is a Blockletter PV 5150 from 1992
[C] typically I would use [Abm] this amp in a blues setting or kind of an open mic setting for versatility and
Just I usually use it with a Strat or a Telecaster to get kind of a crunchy bluesier tone
But I'm not sure if this amp can do metal, but we will find out soon enough.
[C] On to the full mix
[Fm] So
[F]
[Gb] [Bb]
[F]
[F] there you go
Can a baritone do metal?
I'm gonna let you guys decide.
I don't think so.
I still think we should leave the metal up to
regular [Bb] Telecasters
American Standard Stratocasters and Mandolins and Lapsteels
myself
But you know what that is just my own personal opinion
