Hi, I'm Angela.
[A] Today we're going to be talking about [C] the California Acoustic Player [Em] Series guitar.
This new line has unique colors and [C] body shapes, so let's get into some of the features.
[G]
First we're going to talk about the Malibu Player guitar.
[Bm] So this guitar is the smallest body shape in the family.
[Am] And at first glance [B] you'd think it looks like a parlor, but actually it isn't.
This is a [G] new unique body [A] style from Fender.
What's really great [Am] about these as well is that these have the [G] new shorter scale [Am] neck.
Now what that means is that the guitar is a bit slinkier to [D] play.
The strings are a bit looser.
It's easier to get your [A] hands around, which is a lot of fun and [Am] sounds very nice and strong.
We're going to [G#m] talk about the Fishman preamp and [A] tuner that's in these guitars.
What I really, really like about it is that [Am] it's incredibly low profile, so it doesn't
get in your way when you're [D] playing and jumping around on stage.
Tuner is built in, and [Am] it's Fishman.
And I have to say, I love Fishman [D] amplification in all of my acoustic [A] guitars.
I think Fishman does a fantastic job.
[B] They [Am] don't compromise the tone [A] of the guitar.
They make the [Am] guitar sound as it should on [D] stage, which is what we all want [G] as players.
[N]
So right now I'm hanging out with a new Porter.
So this is in the champagne metallic color, a new color that Fender is showing off.
It's awesome.
This is a mid [D#]-size body shape acoustic guitar.
I love playing it for singer-songwriter type stuff, finger picking, all of that.
I'll give you a second so you can [C] check out how it sounds.
All [G]
[C] [D] [G]
right, so another feature about this whole family of guitars is that underneath this
great paint is an awesome solid spruce top.
Now this is a premium feature in acoustics.
I play acoustic a ton, and I really, really like the sound of a solid spruce top.
It's a strong resonant sound with acoustics, whether you're finger picking or whether you're strumming.
So let's take a second to talk about another awesome feature with this family of guitars.
It's the matching [Am] six inline painted headstock on these [C] acoustics.
Right away you see the [G] iconic Fender Stratocaster [F] headstock.
I love them, and [Bm] it's so cool that they painted it [G] a [Am] metallic color that matches the body.
I mean, you can't go wrong with a matching headstock and body [C] of a guitar.
It just looks so rockin'.
I love it.

[G] All right, so right now I'm hanging out with the Redondo Player in a beautiful Belmont Blue.
Really, really awesome color in person.
This is gonna be your loudest guitar.
It is the biggest body shape here.
This thing is fantastic for open tuning and for drop tuning.
So if you're a big strummer or you like a lot of low end in your acoustic, this thing is loud.
Let's take a look and see what this guy can do.

[G] One of my favorite features about this family of guitars is the C-shaped mahogany neck.
I am a big electric [F] player.
I'm a Strat girl.
I love my electric guitars.
I love the feel of a Strat when I'm playing on stage, whether I'm at home.
It's a great neck.
I love it, and I love the feel of the necks on this line of guitars.
In combination with the mahogany neck, another great feature about this line of guitars is
this beautiful walnut fingerboard and bridge.
It's a great combo with the mahogany neck.
Not only does it have a great look, the fingerboard is incredibly easy [C] to play.
It's nice and warm and nice and resonant, and also gives a really great look to an already
great looking guitar.
