Let's get to know poor man's poison.
Hi, we're poor man's poison.
I'm Ryan hacker.
I'm Dustin Madero's
I'm Tommy McCarthy, and I'm Mike Jacobs.
We're from Central, California
We just won the Western Regional finals at the Mills Casino in Coos Bay, Oregon, and we are representing radio station
[Em] Khts out of Santa [Am] Clarita, California
[D] I think we fit in a [A] country more so I [D] guess like the old-timey kind of country and we're definitely not [G] modern country
We all come from rock, but we always like playing acoustic.
We [D] didn't necessarily jump into any genre
It just [A] whatever came out came out and but it's like all the old-school bluegrass instruments and [G] whatnot
We just don't play bluegrass and after years of playing punk rock and metal [F] my parents are [D] pretty excited about this
[G] Yeah, we got the opportunity to go play for the [D] troops in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba
That was one of the coolest things [Am] we've done [D] so far.
[C] I mean everybody over there [D] was just awesome
They were like stoked [G] on it, but the whole time we just wanted to convey to them this [D] how much we were
Yeah, probably the single best [G] experience we've ever [C] had made some good friends over there
We'd love to [D] play music as a means of support if we can support our families with what we love to do with each other
Playing music with our best friends and you can't beat that, you know, I mean, that's yeah, that's that's the dream
[F#] So Mike poor man's poison.
How did you guys come up with the name?
Well, I know what it sounds like but actually music is our poison for sure
[N]
Well, [A] I hope we get to [N] change that may your new name be rich man's poison put your hands together for poor man's poison

[E] You can share it around or throw it [Am] away
But in the end you're gonna see you're the only [Em] one of this last just a game until the game stops [Am] being fun
