Start Jamming...
[Ab] C minor.
So hopefully you've been watching the series full through because [B] we started on A minor and B minor
Those were two very similar chord shapes that A minor [Ab] helped us build the B minor chord
So if you just recently learned how to build the B minor chord C minor is going to be an absolute piece of cake
So let's just go ahead and review
So we have our A minor shape that we were actually building with our last three fingers.
[Am] So we have A minor
[N] Then we moved it up two frets
We added on this finger here or if you were playing the open version
You place it down here on the first fret now just take this entire shape whether you want to bar it or have it open
This is a movable shape.
You just move it all up one fret.
This is our C minor chord
This is how easy it is
So if you want to play the bar shape where it's nice and full you would strum down from the fifth string
So it'll sound like [C] this
[Cm] Now [Ab] if you want to play it open
all you have to do is just take your index finger move it down to the first string [Eb] and
We're gonna strum just like the B minor that was open.
We're gonna strum down from the fourth string.
So it'll sound just like this
[Cm]
So those are two [G] ways that you play the C minor chord, hopefully breaking it down
Looking at it like the B minor chord the A minor shape
hopefully that helps [Bb] you out because really chords are [N] just shapes and patterns and
Once you really unlock that perspective
It just makes it so much easier to understand and then transition and try new chords and it makes it a lot less intimidating
So try looking at chords as patterns and shapes and that is really going to help you out
So from here, our next chord is going to be D minor
So make sure to stay tuned and I will see you guys in
