God heard our prayers.

I remember one night we [B] prayed for 17 people in Wilmington, North Carolina.
_ We got in our car and we [F#] drove 17 hours.
And the next night we walked on [E] stage in front of 10,000 and we saw it flow.
[B] And from that day forth we found ourselves on tours with people like
Tobey Magg, Casting Crowns, The Newsboys.
_ _ It wasn't always easy though.
You know sometimes God gives you what you want before you're ready for it.
[E] That's what happened to us.
I [F#] remember being on the one song tour with [B] Casting Crowns playing a sold out arena every night.
They followed the part on the inside. _
Why?
Because we were trying so hard to measure up.
We gotta be good.
[B] The more we tried, the more we failed.
The more we felt like God wasn't moving very fast.
He's [E] moving in front of us.
Seven and a half years of not having to fight in front of us.
And then [B] one day we stopped talking and looked at each other and went,
What's going on?
_ And like [F#] God quite clearly said to us,
My children, believe in [E] you, have to cry.
Because I have to [B] make you weep enough for my strength to shine through.
_ And in that moment we felt a [F#] word called surrender.
And I'm not one of those who will curse me [B] to the falling.
None of [E] my plans but yours.
[B] And in surrender, God can do amazing things.
_ [F#] In surrender we cried out to God to give us a new vision [E] and a new hope.
And he showed us one more [B] time.
_ He showed us right where we belong. _
