The amp Brad Paisley is using in this video was built by Denver Amp Works, who
specialize in building one-of-a-kind custom guitar amplifiers.
This amp is
modeled after a Tweed Deluxe with some custom features and is equipped with a
75 watt Fluxtone Model 9 speaker.
By bypassing the onboard Tweed amp, you can
convert this combo into a controllable extension cabinet for use with other
guitar amps up to 75 watts.
This amp can be heard on several songs from Brad's
latest CD, Wheelhouse.
[C]
[Em]
So this is the volume around three and a magnet [C] all the
way up.
[F#m]
That's pretty clean and then you turn the magnet all the way [Gm] down.
[D]
[A] [G] About halfway [C]
[E] [D] [C] [Dm]
[C] [D] [Am] [F]
[C] and I'm not touching the amp volume so now it will crank the amp
volume.
That's all the way up on [G] the amp.

[D] [A] [G] [Am]
[D] [G] [Gm] [C]
[G]
[C] [A]
[Gm] [F]
[C#] [D#] [A] [Em] I just think it's really brilliant technology and I I think about what you
lose when you normally turn an amp down.
When I do TV shows or when I do certain
performances places where they're sensitive about that level, they usually
say can you turn down and it's as a guitar player anybody watching this know
that just is going to change everything.
You turn your amp down even a couple of
clicks it's just going to be a different thing so it doesn't feel right to you so
the minute you start to turn if you've got the amp set the amp set around five
right here and I've got that's the magnet all the way up [C] on file.
[C]
And I turn if somebody says turn it down you just do this and
[G] [D] [C]
[Am] it's
[C]
[E]
[C]
[G]
[C] [G#] [D]
[C#] [G] [D] [A] all [G]
[D] [G]
[Am] [Em] [D] [Am]
[E] [C]
[A] [G] [E] the way down which is very low.
This is bedroom level.
[Am] [Bm]

[D] [Am]
[C#] [C] [A] [C]
[C#m] [G] [E] [A] [G#]
[D] [E] [C]
[G] [C]
I think it works on any amp.
That's the thing about it too is I haven't found an
amp I can plug into this that doesn't that this doesn't enhance and you can't
[B] make it twice as usable [C] anywhere you take it.
Something else I've noticed is
that recording when it comes to other power soaks or things such as
attenuators they they oftentimes change it.
Sometimes they change it for the
better if you've got a really bright old Marshall and you put something like that
on it sometimes that's a nice thing because it takes a little bit of
flappiness away but what I find about this technology is that the waveform
when you record it is drastically similar in a way that's that's hard to
believe it's just smaller you can see it on Pro Tools it's just a smaller wave
it's not a different looking thing which is usually what happens with with
an attenuator you see a big difference and in this [G] it's you can probably even
tell from the mic on this [E] camera if you if you're cranked like if you're [C] close
to the top here and you go down
[G#] all the way [C] down
there's sort of the same amount of
[D]
[C] [A] [G]
sort [D] of stays the same
[G] [A] [D] [G] [D]
[A] [E]
