[Am] [C] [D]
[Eb] [D] [Db] [D] [Eb]
[D] [Db] [D] Hey, how's it going?
Welcome back.
Today I'm excited to share with you one of my favorite [N] songs, Bohemian Rhapsody.
I feel like this is one of those tunes where you know, like, exactly where you were when you first heard it.
And for me, it was Wayne's World because I grew up in the 90s, and if you didn't see Wayne's World in the 90s, it's like, you basically didn't live.
So, hey, we're gonna check this tune out, and we're just gonna do a little snippet because I know you guys, you don't have time for 13 minutes of Bohemian Rhapsody.
So, we're gonna check out just a little piece here.
Get tuned up, let's rock and roll.
Okay, so we're gonna simplify this as much as possible, [Eb] and once again, the part that we are taking a look at [Bb] is
Easy [Gb] come, [G] easy go, little [Db] high, [D] little low.
And, in order to do that super cool part, all you're gonna [Eb] need is your thumb on your right hand,
and this little bar chord shape that's just gonna move around a little bit.
So, let me show you how to do that.
So, with my right hand, I'm gonna take, I'm gonna grab underneath the body of the ukulele, right below the sound hole,
and with my thumb, I just need to have access to the C, E, and A string, and I'm just gonna drag my finger down those when I play.
So, there's an awesome version of Bohemian Rhapsody that was done by Jake Shimabukuro, and that's where we're gonna be taking this little piece from today.
If you guys wanna check out the full book by Jake Shimabukuro, Peace, Love, and Ukulele, we've got it in our Amazon store.

Here we go.
With my left hand now, now this is super important.
With my index finger, I'm gonna bar the E and the A string here on the sixth fret,
and something I wanna make note of is, you wanna make sure that this index finger is flat and almost above the actual fretboard here.
You don't wanna have your index finger back like this when you play bar chords, because you get these dead notes.
Dead notes are bad.
So, push your finger forward, and use your thumb right behind your index finger on the back of the neck,
so that you're actually pinching that chord down.
That's something that is always gonna be in your favor when you're playing bar chords.
So, then, after you have your index finger in place here on the E and A string, the second most important component to a bar chord is making sure
that you are bending at your last knuckle here for the middle finger, which we're gonna put on the C string on the seventh fret.
We wanna make sure this is nice and upright.
You don't wanna lay this finger down to deaden this note.
So, it's kind of a little trick to make sure that this is flat and this is upright.
So, you might have to spend a little time with that, but ultimately, you need those three notes to ring when you play them with your thumb.
So, first chord is E flat.
So, we play that twice.
So, that's E-Z.
[Gb] And then we move down one fret with the exact same shape,
[Eb] and it's E [D]-Z come.
[Db] From there, we go down one more fret, and it's E-Z.
And then we move back here to the [D] sixth fret.
Go.
[Eb] So, E-Z [D] [Db] come, E [G]-Z [Eb] go, [D] little [Db] high, [D] little low.
Hey, if you're digging the videos, [N] give us a thumbs up.
And if you wanna be the first to know, go ahead and click that little bell below.
Hey, that rhymed, I guess.
Oh, yeah, and don't forget to get on our Instagram, because that's where all the cool things happen on a daily basis,
and we love to share them with you.
So, get in the know.
Alright, now you got those bar chords sounding good.
Let's do a little play along here.
So, I'm gonna count us in, and I'll give you a little voice leading to go along with it.
[Eb] So, here we go.
Nice and slow.
One, two, three, four.
E-Z [D] come, [Db] E [D]-Z go, [Eb] little [D] [Db] high, [D] little low.
Alright, and now a little closer to the song tempo.
So, here we [Cm] go.
One, two, three, four.
[Gb] E-Z come, E-Z [Gm] go, little [Db] high, [Bb] little low.
[D] E-flat [Db] D, [D] C [Eb]-sharp D, E [D]-flat [Db] D, C [D]-sharp D.
[Db]
