I'm going to show you an awesome rock song and you can basically play it with one shape
as you saw me doing that intro.
I'm going to show you some variations too because it's kind of more of an electric guitar
song but this is just a great song to be able to play with one chord shape.
It's really fun to be able to do that anytime and there's not a lot of instances where we
can so this will be a very fun one to do.

Anyway, let's zoom in right now.
We'll start rocking out.
Here we go.

Ready to have some 70's rock fun. _
Now check this out.
It's an electric guitar song. _
The chords are still the same though but this is a fun one especially if you're a beginner
because you can start rocking out and just use one chord shape for _ _ almost the entire
song except for this little bridge _ _ but people forget about the bridges anyway.
So anyway, we're going to start with an E major chord.
That's the first one you're going to need. _
_ _ _ _ _ Then _
_ [Em] if we, let's say for instance, we're looking at our index finger right [E] now _ with
that E shape that's on the first fret, I could just count that up to where that ends up _ _ on
the sixth fret [A] and _ _ you still can strum all the strings. _ _
[E] _ So _ _ _ _ _
_ [A] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[D] _ _ _ _ _ _ [E] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ it's first fret which is an E chord.
_ _ [A] Then the sixth fret which [E] this is an A, _ it's an A major chord but we still got the E in the bass.
_ [Em] So it would look like E slash, I'm sorry, let me do that again.
The chord would be called A slash E or A over E.
_ Then we scoot that index finger _ up to where it would be on the eleventh fret which is
_ [D] _ _ _ _
D _ slash E because the E is still in the bass. _ Same shape.
[E] _ _
Then finally back to E. _ _ _ _ _
So you got E chord, _ _
_ _ [A] A over E, _ _
[E] _ D over E, _ _ _ back to the E. _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ [A] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [E] _ _
_ _ _ _ Okay. _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ Now, you could do power chords like if you're playing electric guitar.
The E power chords right here, _ seventh fret on the A string, [B] _ _
[E] nine on the D. _ _ _ _
_ You got a pinky _ to the nine of the G, _ _ _ put that low E in there, right? _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ Just like that. _ _
_ _ [C] _ [A] Then that A chord right there. _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ So that's [E] the same.
Then a D power chord _ _ _ which is just the same thing as D down a whole [D] step, back [E] up to E. _
_ So that's just more of a rock and roll electric guitar way. _ _ _ _ _ _

_ _ Then you know the verses. _ _

Or you could [F#] just play a straight up A chord if [E] you want.

_ _ _ _ _ [D] Then D _ and _ back [E] to E. _
You could do that. _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [A] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [D] _ _ _
_ _ _ So [E] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [G#m] the little bridge is [D] just a D and _ _ _ _ [A] then A chord _ _ _ and [E] then E chord without that pedaling
on the E note.
_ Finally the bass player gets to play a different note other than that one note he's playing
for 99% of the song.
So have fun with that.
