Start Jamming...
Have you ever been to a place called the Avalon ballroom?
It's in San Francisco if you have you know, the audience is there very
That's the word classic very quiet passive
If they enjoy somebody they give them some polite applause and that's about the extent of it
The particular group you're about to see and hear has torn that place apart
They go crazy when these people are there you you said you'd heard of these people.
What do you hear?
Oh, I
They're fantastic
They are indeed you can see by the wall of sound behind them that it's going to sound like anything but a trio
You're going to see and hear a great deal of this group.
Ladies and gentlemen blue cheer

Have a vacation
Can we pick him up and bring him out?
Can you make it out here?
Sneak in a little bit.
You very often wear gloves, I'm told.
Why is that?
So the stick doesn't slip out of my hand when I play.
You fellas work about as hard as anybody I've ever seen.
This wall of sound behind you, somebody said once they went in a studio
and it caused reverberations before you started playing.
How long have you been playing music?
As a group, you mean?
Yeah.
About a year.
A year?
Are you all from the San Francisco area?
Yeah.
How do you differentiate your style of music from anybody else's?
What makes blue cheer different?
Heavy.
Heavy, man.
It's a heavy sound.
You work harder, too.
Do you have a philosophy about working for an audience?
There was a time when a lot of people just stood and played.
Do you do anything different when you work out?
It has to be visual.
We like to destroy things down there.
Destroy things down there?
Break the guitars.
Only if it's right there on the spot.
If you really feel like doing it, you just get into it heavy.
You don't do it as a shtick.
You have to feel it before you get to that point.
What are your future plans?
Have you traveled much up and down the coast?
We're so spread apart.
Let's sneak in here.
Then I can pass this mic around.
As far away as Denver, but Chicago, New York, and London,
they're all in there.
They're coming up soon, I hope.
Look forward to seeing New York?
Yeah, a lot.
I've heard a lot about it.
It's one of the most unusual cities in the world.
Where would you like to go if you had your preference of travel?
Kashmir.
Kashmir?
Take me along when you go.
Ladies and gentlemen, Blue Cheer, if you will, please.
Thank you very much.
