Hi, today I want to play some block chords.
[Am]
[Em] [Am] [A]
[Am] [Em]
I give [E] you five chords and you can harmonize lots of melodies.
And we [G] start with this chord, A minor [Am] 7.
Here is the 7, here is the 3, B3, here is the 5, here is the octave, the 8.
Then we take this little finger and play A minor 9.
Here is the 7, here is the 3, here is [Em] the 5, and here is the [Am] 9.
So we have two chords, we have the root and we have the 9.
Now we move to the next chord, it's A minor 7.
A little bit difficult to finger with [D] this [Am] small varie.
A minor 7, A minor 3.
This is the minor 3rd, so it's A minor 7.
Now we put the little finger here, so then we have the 11, A minor 11.
[A] Or A11.
So we have four chords [Am] now, we have A minor 7, minor 7 9,
minor 7 with the 3rd, [Gb] minor 7 with the [E] 11.
[Am] Four chords.
And now comes the fifth chord, it's A minor 7.
Drop two.
And now we have the fifth on top.
Five chords now, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
Up and down.
Practice that whole step [Gm] below.
[Bb] [Gm]
[Ab] Whole step below, F, [Ab]
[Fm] [E] [Am] A minor.
You can just play the 1, the 3 and the 5.
You get the arpeggio.
[Em] G [Gm] minor.
[A] [Bb] [Ab]
[Am]
[Ab] You can play along with this.
You can make melodies [Am] like,
[D] [Am]
you can use this for comping [Ab] like
songs [Am] in A minor, A minor blues.
