Hey, so I've been traveling across the country with my mobile studio.
The last time [C] that we were with Blake, we interviewed him in that mobile studio.
We were in Los Angeles [D] while he was shooting his video [G] for I'll Name the Dogs.
[F] This time's really cool.
[G] We were invited [D] to his ranch to have a personal chat [C] and to hear him perform some of the [G] songs
off the new album acoustically.
I can't wait.
Hopefully you can't wait.
I think this is going to be a once in a lifetime experience.
So what song are we going to do here?
Let's do [F#] I'll Name the Dogs.
How do you get a song?
We were like three songs into, if I'm honest, and was very happy with that project and was
planning on continuing on with it for at least another year.
And then all of a sudden, I'll Name the Dogs got sent to me and I heard that song and I
went, this is over.
So that was the start of this.
You hearing I'll Name the Dogs started this whole record. Yes.
It's a little bit of a throwback, almost a throwback to the early 90s.
I don't hear anything like this on radio anymore.
We've kind of moved past this sound in country music, but when it's good, it's good.
And when it feels right, it just feels right.
And so naming the album Texoma Shore, having songs like that, making it here, basically
at my home, it's just felt like a full, like coming back to the beginning almost, you know.

[B] [A] [F#]
[A] [E] Girl, it's high time I tell you no more messing [A] around.
I'm gonna lay these cards on the table.
Just throw it on out.
[E] I'm talking you and me with the same street name, same last name, [A] same everything.
It's a real thing.
How I feel things.
I'm gonna go on and take [E] a swing.
You find a spot and I'll find the money.
You be the pretty one and I'll be the pretty one.
You be the funny one and I'll be the funny.
[A] You plant the flowers, I plant the [F#m] kisses.
Baby, let's get right down to [E] business.
I hang the pictures, you hang the stars.
You pick the paint, I'll pick a [A] guitar.
Sing you a song out there with the [F#] crickets and the frogs.
You name the babies [E] and I name the dogs.
You can park your car in the driveway.
I'll park my truck in the [A] grass.
I'll put a little swang on the [F#m] front porch.
If you put a little pee in my glass.
[E] Watch the sunset from a gravel road.
Kiss me in the kitchen on your tippy toes.
Feel loving on you and the rooster [F#m] crows.
Watching way more than the garden [E] grow.
You find a spot and I'll find the money.
You be the pretty one and I'll be the [A] funny.
You plant the flowers, I'll plant the kisses.
[F#m] Baby, let's get right down to business.
[E] I hang the pictures, you hang the stars.
You pick the paint, I'll pick a [A] guitar.
Sing you a song out there with the crickets [F#m] and the frogs.
You name the babies and [Em] I name the dogs.

[F#m]
Yeah, laying [E] next to you [A] every night.
Sounds like a [Em] damn good life.
You find a spot and I'll find the money.
You be the pretty one and I'll be the funny.
[A] You plant the flowers, I'll plant the [F#m] kisses.

[E] I hang the pictures, you hang the stars.
