I've been playing [Cm] _ bass for since before
any [E] of you were born _ _ [G] and _ _ as a result I've had a lot [B] of experiences _ [Cm] and a lot of
things have happened to me and [Eb] I've been very lucky to have a little bit [N] of
success here in there too so _ _ _ [G] very thankful to Sam Ash for [Db] bringing me [Ab] down
here and paying the bill of course and [G] getting here so I can hang out with you
guys and answer some questions and we can do [Gbm] a little [N] bass thing.

anything I do I'm happy to show you I stole most of my licks from other players
anyway so it's only fair that you steal them back from me.

And again some of the things I say and some of my opinions on how bass is
played and how I do it please understand that it's only what works for me that is
worth for me.
It may work for you exactly it may not work for you at all it may be
exactly the opposite of what [B] might work for you.
[E] Sometimes I've often received like
what I call negative [F] inspiration where I see something and I know I definitely do
not want to [Dbm] do that well at least it eliminates one thing that I can now go
and _ find the thing that I actually do want [E] to do so maybe there'll be some of
that here tonight too I imagine.
