Hi, this is Andrew Gulledge.
I'll be showing you how to play better together by Jack Johnson on the ukulele
The chords you need are F major which is the second second fret of the first string
[Cm] [C] First fret of the second third string so with a middle [Dm] finger to [Cm] open and then the next finger [F] one
F major then C major you just hold down the third fret of the last string [C] and that's it 3 D minor [B] you bar with your middle finger the second frets of the first [D] two strings And then [Ab] the index finger hold on the first [F] fret of the third string and then [Dm] open D [N] minor B flat major With your next finger you bar the first fret of the last two strings The middle finger [Bb] you hold down the second fret of the [Ab] second string ring finger the third fret of the first string so [Bb] three two one one B flat major [Gb] a major you hold down with the middle finger [E] second fret of the first string index finger first [Db] fret of the second string [Ab] [A] [B] G minor with the middle finger you hold down the second fret of the second string ring finger [Em] the third fret of the third string [Db] index finger first [Bb] fret of the last string G minor [Gm] so it's 2 3 1 and then [Ab] there's B major which is the same as B flat major But you just shift everything up half a step, so it's [B] 4 3 2 2 B major [Bb] the strumming pattern [A] I use is sort of a [Db] And [C] [A] [B] [Bb] [A] [Gm] [C]
[F] you can do slight variations of that and you can do whatever sounds good for the intro you go through the the main chord progression of a song twice so it's [C] C [Dm] D minor [C] C [Bb] [A] flat a [Gm] G minor [C] C [F] And you just go through [C] again [Dm] [Am] [Bb] [A] [Gm] [C]
[F] No combination [Dm] of words I can put on [C] the back of a postcard [A] Song that I [Gm] could sing that I [C] can try for your heart our [Dm] dreams [C] [A] [Gm] [C]
[F] Love [C] is the answer [Dm] at least for most [C] of the questions in my heart like [A] Why are we here [Gm] and where do we go? [C] It's so [F] hard [C] Not always easy [Dm] and sometimes life [C] can be deceiving [Bb] [A] I'll tell you one thing [Gm] it's always better [C] when we're together [B] [Bb] And then goes into the chorus so that's the first verse [B] and the transitions a little tricky so you end on a C [C] together And then [Bb] quickly you need to go from a [B] B to a B flat [Bb] It's [C] always better when we're together [Bb] Yeah, we [C] look at them stars when we're together [Bb] And [C] it's always better [Bb] Yeah, it's [C] always better when we're together [Am] [Am] [Bb] [A]
[Gm] [C] [F] And you go through [N] that again the second verse comes in next after that little That little bridge between the chorus and the verse Look at the link to the sheet music in the description for the second verse and then you do the course again Same as we did and [Bb] then that little link where you go through the main core progression You just do a little solo or [F] a whistle where you just [C] kind of go through it again [Dm] after the [C] second verse in chorus [A] And then at the very end you do the bridge Which [Bb] goes like this starts with [B] a G [Gm] minor. I believe [C] in memories They look so [Gm] It just mostly goes between G minor and C so pretty [C] when I sleep Hey [Gm] And when I [C] wake up You [Gm] look so pretty sleeping [C] next to me But there is [Bb] not [C] enough time There [Bb] is no No song [C] I could see [Bb] Combination [C] of words I could say but [Bb] I was still Tell you [C] one thing we're better together [F] [C] You just [Dm] Go back to that same core [C] progression for the outro [Bb] you [A] [Gm] [C] can end on [F] the hometown If you want you can do like a modified F major where you hold on also [G] the third for the last [F] string [B] Hope you enjoyed it Let me know if you have any suggestions, please click the subscribe button Let me know if you would like me to do any other songs.
