[N] Alright, this is going to be the Bee Gees fan alive crazy disco song.
This is going to be kind of like the guitar part on bass transcribed for you on Finnbarr bass.
Anyway, I am Finnbarr of Finnbarr bass.
Thank you so much for listening.
Okay so what are those bass videos all about down when you click on the YouTube text box right there?
Well, bass playing is kind of a time of discovery.
It is like an adventure.
You are learning new stuff all the time.
You are increasing your chops.
You are getting better.
So we need to practice bass.
And when we are practicing and learning all these different techniques like through these
videos, why not make it fun?
Right?
I mean that is great.
If you can actually get better on the bass and learn all these different songs or techniques
or whatever and have fun doing it instead of just doing it through repetitious study,
then that is a fantastic thing.
You are doing it through something that you love.
You are doing it through music.
And that makes it just so much easier to do and so much better.
So don't forget to click on the clicker box right down there in the YouTube text box.
I think it is really going to help you out.
Alright, so what is going on there?
I made this into a little bit of a slappy slap and [F] pop pattern.
That doesn't really happen I don't believe on the actual studio version.
But it is fun.
So I am going to show you that.
And I am going to show you the little transcription down here.
So what you are doing here is, the first thing you are doing, right?
So you are on the 6th fret of the A string.
[Eb] And you are going to slap with your thumb, [D] right?
And then hammer on to the [F] 8th fret.
Just like that.
[Abm] And then you are going to pop with the 6th fret of the D string right here.
So you [B] got, that is a [F] slap, hammer on, pop.
[E] Then you are going to do a little ghost note there.
[Eb] Alright, we will do it slow.
[F]
[Ab] [Eb]
Just a ghost note and then you are hitting on that 6th fret of the A string again.
So you got, [F]
[Eb] and [F]
[G] then you are going to [E] slap with your thumb, [Db] the open E, just for a second.
And then hammer on to the 6th fret of the, [F]
right?
So, just like that.
[Bb] [F] You are slapping E and then hammering on with your pointer to the 6th fret, [Bb]
right?
[Eb] [C] Then you are doing [Bb] the slap on the [Bbm] 6th fret and hammer on to the 8th [C] fret.
[Eb] And then you are hitting the 6th fret of the A again.
So real slow.
[F]
[E] [Bb] [C] [Eb]
[F] I am sorry, you pop that 6th fret.
I don't think I said that you pop it.
So if I put my hand here, [Eb]
just like that.
So you got, [Cm]
and then one more time.
You are going to slap, hammer on [F] and pop the 6th fret of the A.
[C]
[Bb] And then you got this little [Eb] run.
[Ab] [F] Just like that.
What that is, is it is 6-8 on the E, 6-8 [C] on the A.
[F] And then just 6th fret of the D.
So the whole thing, [Ab]
[Bb] [C] [Eb]
[F] just like that.
And then, what sounds more like the guitar part, right down here.
[Bb] [Ab]
What I do there is I am going to hit the, you are on the [G] 13th fret of the D string.
And you hammer on to the 15th fret.
[Gb]
And then you are going to hit the [F] 13th fret of the G.
[G] And I get a little ghost note there.
So I pluck without pressing down.
[F] And then hit on that 13th fret of the D again.
So real slow.
[Db] And you got.
[Eb] [Bb]
So you hit once on that 13th fret of the A.
Then [C] again with a hammer on.
And [Ab] you are hammering on to the 15th fret of the A.
So far.
[Bb] [C] [Eb] [F] Then you got the 13th fret of the D.
[Bb]
