Anytime you get an opportunity to sing with someone like that, it's an honor.

That's how her interest in [Ebm] Kenny became known to me.

Barbra said that she loved [Ebm] the song, she loved my voice, and she'd like [Bbm] to do a duet with me one day.
We basically thought that it would be great to [Abm] take her most famous songs that she's [B] done
and try to reinvent them, sort of, in new arrangements [Db] that fit a duet setting.
[Fm] It was just one of [G] those things
[Am] But _ don't [Em] ever bet me
There's no better high [E] than contributing your gift or your talent
to something that immediately [Em] kind of gives back to the room
and everybody goes like, this is really great.

A duet with Barbra Streisand was the top of the list.
I've been waiting for this call in Hollywood, California for the last [Em] 40 years.
Can it be that it was [Am] all so simple then?

I loved how [Bm] Kenny and Walter came up with these [C] plans of these songs
meaning some of them start with a male voice.
[Am] I don't think I've ever [D] heard a man sing the way we were. _ _

I believe that there are voices [C] that go down in history
for [E] the fact that they [G] are absolutely unique and unrepeatable.
Barbra's voice is extremely [Eb] recognizable after the first note.

and knowing you're going to sing a duet with Barbra [C] Streisand.

I recorded with an orchestra.

I get inspired by what the orchestra is playing.
We wandered [Bm] around and finally found

She [Gm] still sounds like Barbra
but she's kind of taking on [D] the character of this great [Gb] kind of torch [Bm] singer
and she does it with so much [Db] emotion
but every word she means what [B] she's saying.

and the greatest storytellers ever.

but I think what [Bm] makes people fall even more in love with her
