So we're here at the Ottawa Blues Fest and I'm Mama Kin and this is John Butler who also
happens to be my husband.
And today we're going to be talking fashion.
Fashion, no we're going to be talking about style which is above fashion.
Well that's, we've just taken it up a notch.
We've taken it up a notch.
So you have a very particular style, something that I was attracted to in the beginning and
have remained quite attracted to, luckily.
Coming up to 14, how many years of marriage this year?
13, 14, 14 years of marriage this year so it's a good thing that I still like your style.
We're going to start from the bottom, we're going to start from the top with this great new hat.
Can you tell us about this hat?
Oh this hat, I'll take it off for you.
This hat, I've been looking for this hat for about 10 years, wide brim but comes up on
the side and trimmed, very important.
It used to actually look more like the Smokey Bear, Smokey the [C] Bear on all sides [Dm] like that
and then I kind of steamed it and kind of did my thing to it so I'm very happy with
this hat, finally found it, it's a good hat.
Can you put the hat on again just so we can, yeah it's a great hat.
And we're working down,
[Am] the [Dm] turquoise, why do you wear turquoise?
I got given my first piece of turquoise by a good friend of mine, an adopted grandmother,
her name is Marilyn Youngberg as you know.
One of the first times I played Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, in Denver and since
then I've kind of been collecting it, well actually what I've really been doing is just
collecting it and losing it and having to buy more.
So [Eb] yeah, I got this in Flagstaff and it's for communication which I always need help
in because I have a lot of feelings but don't know necessarily how to communicate.
[B]
Okay we're going to take it from the style to the counselling room, no we're going to
keep it on style.
[Dm] And then we're going to go all the way down, we've got a white shirt, awesome brown pants
and then my favourite, [A] the work boots [D] that you wear at home and then you bring on the [Dm] road.
I do love them.
Are they your red backs or are they your blundstones?
Just wondering.
[D]
Well these are red backs.
[Dm] If we want to go into the whole blundstone red back thing which you know is pretty boring
because it's all about brand but you know.
No it's not about brand, it's about bounce.
Well that's right, I was going to say you only get into brand when there's quality differences
so let's talk about the quality.
These have superior soles in my opinion and they're made in Australia as opposed to having
inferior soles and being made overseas.
[Ab] So I [Dm] think we've covered everything we need to cover here today folks.
That was Mumma Kin reporting to you, not live but pretty live because you're watching it,
it feels live doesn't it?
You should see the look on my children's face right now.
They're disgusted in us.
They're actually disgusted in us.
Pan, pan camera, ready and go.
They're cute.
They're pretty cute.
And they have style.
And they have style, look at them, stylish because we made them.
Thank you from Ottawa.
Bye.
