Alright, so I'm holding this very weird to try and get both of my hands in there.
I'm going to be showing you how to play Baby Blue by King Krule.
It's a very nice song.
It's originally played on guitar.
I'm going to show you how to play it on piano because I'm sure there are people out there who want to know.
And it just sounds really nice on the piano as well.
Really sketchy.
Alright, so he actually kind of plays the entire, the same three chords the entire song.
Just a little bit of variation.
He goes from strumming to picking.
I don't like the verse part.
So, in the very beginning of the song he plays three chords and he goes
Dun, dun, [Bb] dun.
Sounds better than that but you know what I'm saying.
Alright, [Ab] so the first note you're going to hit is a G sharp, a C, a G, [Cm] and a B flat.
[Bb]
[C] [Eb]
Oh, [Ab]
something sounded wrong.
Sorry.
[Cm]
You can put it all together.
And next time, or the [B] second time you're going to move the C down to a B.
[Fm] [Abm] [G] And then the next
[Eb] chord
Active E flats and then a B flat too.
So
And this, oh, this never changes.
This always stays right here no matter what.
These two fingers will stay the same for the entire song.
It never changes, ever, at all.
So, [Bm] [Ab]
[Eb] for a little bit of a nicer sound you can go on to G.
G sounds nice.
You know, fill in a little [Fm] section.
[Abm] [Eb]
And then when you start singing, he picks it out but on the piano you're just going to play it.
[Ab] [Cm]
So it's the same chord that you played in the beginning, the very first chord,
[Ab] except for this time you're [Cm] going to play it.
[Ab]
I don't know the proper name, sorry.
So, you know.
[Cm] [Ab] [Abm] [Cm]
[Ab] Second chord.
First chord.
[G] [Eb]
And this one is going to get a little different.
You're going to hit the G, but not this.
You're going to play the chord you played in the beginning.
So that's E flat, B flat, E flat.
And then you're going to do a G minor.
I'm going to switch it up.
A G minor.
And it's going to go [Gm] G, B flat, D.
But you're still going to hit that E flat at the bottom.
Not the top one, just the bottom one.
So it's going to [Ab] go,
[C] [Ab] [Abm] [Eb]
you're going to hit these two when you hit the G minor chord.
I don't think I can tell you a proper name for that.
Possibly a sixth?
I want to say a seventh.
I don't know.
Oh, you can't even see what I'm doing.
Oh, whoa, [Ab] I need to do some adjusting [Eb] with the camera.
Wait a second.
[B] [Dbm] Oh, sorry.
All
[Bm] [F] [Eb]
[E] [F] right.
[Gb] [C] So.
Here we go.
[Fm]
[C] [Fm]
[G] [Eb]
[Ab]
[Eb]
[Ab] My [Eb] sandpaper [Ab] says, [Abm] [Eb]
engrave the line into [Ab] the rest [Eb] of your [Ab] time.
[Eb]
Girl, I could have been someone to [Ab] [Eb] you.
[Ab] [Abm] Would [Eb] have made the skies blue, [Ab] baby [Eb] blue, [Ab] [Eb]
if you only knew.
And then he's going to play the chords again.
[E] [Eb]
[G] [Ab] But this [Gm] time, he's going to play this D and play the G minor chord with that [Eb] E flat on there.
I'm telling you, this has a different name.
I just don't know it.
So, just a cap.
[Ab] [Eb]
[Ab]
All right, so that's pretty much the entire song.
It's like, in his live versions, he does some different things.
There are different versions of the song, [G] actually.
Like, two.
That's what I've heard.
Two different versions so far.
I don't know if one is a studio version and one is just, you know, whatever.
[Ab]
So, yeah, I'm just going to show you everything over time.
[C] [Ab] [G]
[Eb]
[Ab] [G] [Eb]
[Ab] [Abm] [Eb]
[Ab] [Abm] [Eb]
[Ab] [Abm]

[Ab] [Eb]
All right, so I [Ab] hope that helped.
