Easy question who are your favorite guitar players and why?
Zacky V
Because he's my favorite.
I was gonna say it's mr.
Gaze because he's my favorite but okay
You first I can almost guess what you're gonna say, uh
John Patitucci, you didn't see [Bb] that one coming
He's a bass player.
I think I
like
you know just uh
The I like the best players, you know, I like a dime bag Darryl slash and [Eb] John Patitucci
Most of the best there's nobody better
Steve I can do some stuff
Steve I throw that guy in there because there's really nothing better than oh man up to computer that I'm inventing
It sounds like Steve [Bb] file
the by mm
Something called gotta call the V mm.
Nobody can remember what it's called the x6
I like Tony I owe me.
[Bbm] I just like big riffs
[Gm] I like the fact that they're not played perfect, but they get that's much personality.
I love that
I mean, obviously [Eb] I love dime bag slash.
I
Think what John Patitucci does is incredible.
I mean [Bbm] you you listen to it.
It's just like what?
You [Bb] know, I really do [Gm] love him as a guitarist.
I think what he does is really creative [Bbm] and great
And
[Bb] I love, you know people [Ab] that just have fun playing, you know, it's punk rock guitarist
That's like [Gm] why Tim Armstrong so cool being a fellow lefty and he's [Bb] just watching him on stage.
He's magic
You know if you had to sit there [Eb] and listen to him play
I'm sure it's probably not the best playing but his styles just so [Bb] awesome to watch and it inspires
Inspired me and I think that's more important than just a [Eb] bunch of dudes that I've seen before that can play
Everything perfectly technical, but you just don't dress up like flamingos
Yeah, not me though
[Bb] What's a [Gb] Lexi lejo from children?
So when you guys are building an album, like what's the what's the process?
Do you [Eb] use a lot of a lot of pro tools in the in the mix?
Foundationally, yeah, it is pro tools and stuff
We try [Bbm] and I don't know man.
It's it's totally different each time, you know
Before we had a producer then we had a producer, but we were producing it and now it's us that's producing it
Things have kind of changed
Throughout some sometimes we'll you know, just move us remove a snare or replace a snare
Sometimes we'll tear down the whole kit.
I mean, I don't think there's any sort of
One formula that kind of goes along with our approach which is which?
attributes or lends itself to you know being more eclectic and having a
diversified song songs with their each individual [Bb] vibe and
And even each album sounds different I [Bbm] mean total and that's that's the cool part like on [Eb] this last album we [Bb] went in and
Historically, we let you know and [Bbm] shadows saying everything including backup vocals including [Bb] everything and we were at this point
we just felt there wasn't enough texture because live [Eb] we all sing everything and
You know, [Bb] sometimes it's a little shaky, but you can fix that in recording
But now we all pride ourselves being able to sing and we do it live
So on this album, you know, we want to go in there and you know, there's literally four part harmonies
[Eb] You know that we're all singing and you know, our [Bbm] drummer has an amazing voice and [Eb] we have unique [Bb] voices that blend into the mix
You know to me.
Yeah, but you get live you guys harmonies were like airtight.
Oh, thank you very much
But yeah, it's fun, you know actually being able to incorporate that and put on the album and uh next album
We might [Bbm] let Johnny Christ our bass player play
I'm [Eb] sorry, Johnny.
All right.
[Bb] So the obvious question when can we expect a new [Bb] event?
When shadows writes it?
I don't know.
We're gonna start we have a like we said previously
We have a little bit more
Touring to go [Eb] then we're gonna get right back in the studio and work our asses off and try and and make that stuff happen
So geez man, I don't know
We'll try and get everything done by beginning of the next year and then hopefully out something out next year, right?
Yeah, I think like um
Hopefully, you know next spring so we can get [Bbm] out in the summer have some new stuff.
All right.
Well, there we go
[Bb]
