Okay, hello friends and [N] students.
Let's study this background music from the film Argent Ready.
I believe we'll call this the angry background music.
So in this piece we are counting to four and we're going to play [F#] this guitar riff in a
rock and roll [N] style.
So you will have to use some distortion or electric guitar sound if you like even though
I am using an acoustic guitar.
So let's call this first chord F sharp [F#] 5.
We will play it like this.
One and two and.
Now after that we have to switch [G#] to G sharp 5 [F#] which is the same chord just moving up to
the fourth fret.
So we have, [A] oh I gave [C#] you one extra there.
So F sharp [G#] 5 then we went up to the G sharp [A] 5 and then up to the A5.
So that's measure one.
There's only three figures we're going to have to learn.
[G#m] So you've learned the first figure.
I'll count to four and play it in slow motion.
Three four.
[G#] One two [A] three four.
[G#m] Okay so in the demonstration [G#] I had done it a few different ways.
Playing the same figure on guitar a few different ways.
Now because this is rock and roll you might wish to use a little bit of your palm.
Muting here, resting the palm near the bridge of [G] the guitar.
You get a nice thumpy sound of doom and [N] darkness right?
Okay good.
So that was figure one.
Now the next thing was like a piano or keyboard background and it has this is how I have adapted
it to guitar.
So we have [G#] these [F#m] chords we're going to play.
I guess we'll call it F sharp 5 again.
Now we're going to move that up a step and a [E] half from the fourth fret to the seventh fret.
[D] I'm referring to where the first [F#m] finger is lining up on the fourth string.
So from the fourth fret to the [A] seventh fret.
And [G#] each position you will play four times with eighth notes like [F#] this.
One and two and [A] three and four and.
And [N] now one more step on this figure which is to take this A5 and move it down a half
step from the seventh fret to the [G#] sixth fret and play it four times.
[G#m]
I'll play this we'll call it figure two counting to four in slow motion.
Three [F#m] four.
[Am] [G#]
[F#] Okay and now after that we will move to figure three which will be the final part for this theme.
And we will begin in that same
[Fm] material that you played a moment ago [C#] which was.
Oops excuse me.
One and two and three.
[F#] Now you're just going to as we say tag that add a little bonus melody to the end of that
which is this figure.
[G#] Okay A B C sharp B A G sharp.
[F#] Now in this case as I was saying earlier you might sometimes change your fingerings to
make these things easier.
[G#] It's the same thing an octave higher.
So what I mean is I'm going to play instead [E] [G#] of [A] this it might be easier [F#] to play.
[E] Okay you get a very similar [C#] effect.
So now you have the tablature and the sheet music and with this video demonstration you
should have the tools to study well [G#m] and have fun.
[A] [C#] [E]
[C#] [F#] [A]
[G#] [C#]
[C#] [G#] [G#m]
[C#] [E] [C#] [E]
