[C] [G]
Just the [C] thought of our [G] bed, yeah, [C] makes me crumble like the plaster where [G] you punch the wall beside my [C] head.
And I try to draw [G] the line, but it ends up [C] running down the middle of me [G] most of the time.
[C] And boys get locked up in some prison, girls get locked [G] up in some house, [C] and it don't matter if it's a warden or [G] a lover or a spouse.
[C] You just can't talk to them, and you just can't [G] reason, and you [C] just can't lean, and you just [G] can't please.
And that [C] was life.
Ended up being my mother's daughter, I was just eating bread and water, thinking nothing ever changes, and I'm butt shocked.
See, these stakes of each generation will just fade like a radio [E] station.
If you die, you just gotta die.
You just gotta die.

[G] [C] And if you're not angry, then you're just stupid, [G] you don't care.
[C] How else can you react when you know [G] something's so unfair?
[C] And the man of the hour can kill [G] half the world in war, [C] make them slaves to a super power, let them [G] die poor.
I was lost.
[Em] Ended up being [G] my mother's daughter, I was [B] just [C] eating bread and water, thinking nothing ever changes, and I'm butt shocked.

[C] Cause just a thought, by [D] a bit, makes me crumble like a blaster, when you [G] punch the ball beside my head.
[C] And I try to draw the [G] line, [C] but it ends up running down the middle of the road most of the time.
And [C] baby I love you, that's why I'm [G] leaving.
There's just no [C]
talking to you, there's just no [G] pleasing you.
And I [C] care enough that I'm [G] here, the rest of the [C] world don't even know what they [G] could have had.

My ongoing journey [G] for me is exploring the acoustic guitar and how to work with it live on stage, which is a whole, and how to record it.
It seems like a very simple thing, it's a piece of wood with a hole in it, a couple of wires, but there's so much to learn there for me, I find.
I used to mic the guitar on stage, but then I found that I wanted to move around.
I got more and more into an acoustic guitar sound that isn't all scratchy and tinny like acoustic guitars sound often, but with a lot of punch, a lot of impact.
[Em] I use a magnetic bridge pickup, and it helps me to get some low [N] end happening.
